I still haven't christened it cos the dishes are too dirty :rotfl:
Honey, it cost less than 40p to knit and it'll wash up fine. You do them dishes, girl, stop making excuses :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Tell your mum I'll knit her one if she likes (or I'll send you the pattern and you can do it)

I had to farm my chickens out to a friend as the landlord was doing all the work on the house and I wouldnt be able to look after them properly also I didnt actually have permission to keep them - BUT I found out last week there is a law (dont't know if its just Manchester) that anyone in rented property can keep chickens - but no rooster. It dates back to the war apparently so am going to check the facts and re-instate my girls. i miss them loads. every time I throw away food( not that I throw much away) I feel guilty.Clearing the junk to travel light

Ginny when I checked with our HA they said up to 6 hens counts as "pets" and anybody can keep a pet. But more than that is "livestock" and you can't. And you def canNOT keep pigeons. Which is a wee bit unfair to poor pigeons!0

How are the girls settling in??
Had a great day in the garden and have so many little veg plants up in the greenhouse I'm really pleased it seems worth the investment last year.
Have started on the compost bins and OH has the week off so he can make himself useful :rotfl:
Have used the old shelf racks from the blowaways to make a sort of dog proof edge to the raised beds and put new batteries in the cat scarer so hopefully that'll keep the blighters off again this year.
Dug up some HUGE carrots..I'm surprised we didn't lose them as they were just left in the ground due to DS's operation and getting the dog,the garden was not touched from about July:eek:
DS3 has been working out there all day bless him and its really looking good now..haven't forgot the pics Mar re the terraces, just want to get it tidy first0 -
D3, this is what I posted int eh Chickens thread ...:rotfl:
Had a terrible first day - the RV was never keen on hens to start with, and things just got a lot worse
He is 6ft tall and the run is about 6-8" higher than the top of his head... its all covered with netting apart from one corner where we ran out and thought oh chickens dont jump 7ft it'll be ok ... AND YET one of the damn bl**dy chickens, who has a vertical take off like a Harrier, managed to get OUT OF THE TOP!:rotfl::rotfl:
I heard a bit of a commotion, looked outside, and there she was large as life, walking down the garden pathI opened the door, asked her what she thought she was doing, and she came up the steps as if to come in. Then the RV appeared and bawled SEE !! I KNEW IT !!
and she about turned and took off up the garden. I had to get in front of her and shake a tray with food in, to head her off. But she went back in quite easily. We had to belt up to B&Q for a netting to finish covering the top. Now totally knackered !:DBeen a long day !0 -
