Mary thanks for reminding me about the fuel ticket from MrT I buried it on the kitchen table somewhere...

Mummysaver I was really shocked when I went to put some breadflour in my basket a few weeks back at Tescos to find it had gone from 43p (when I'd last bought it) up to £1.29
Luckily I still had a fair bit so was so glad to see it drop back to 50p and bought *a few* :o this week.

I've found the special offers seem to be longer in between ATM as usually when I've needing to boost the stores its around the same time the offers are on but the last couple of months I've had to wait 3 or 4 extra weeks (if that makes sense?)

Cheapest I have got breadflour in months is €2.32 for 2kg and think that it is now €2.65...which makes the Lidl 1kg bread mix at €1.49 almost better value....no sugar, yeast, salt, olive oil to add and takes seconds to throw into BM and comes in a variety of 'flavours'. Unfortunately, Lidl, Aldi or Tesco don't do own brand strong flour here, I've got reasonable results with half strong, half plain but not as good as all strong.

Even converting the euro to sterling, am mad jealous of your flour prices.

For the first time ever this year it has been "warm" enough to get out into the garden. I had my woolly dufflecoat on and I played in my new wellies (daughter bought me them, they are palest pink with butterflies and roses on ) !!
    :j:j:j
We levelled the new area for the hens and filled 2 builders bags with nice dark composty soil for the veg growing.
Then decided we didn't like them cos they are messy and untidy so will need to think of something/somewhere else for the veg & will need to move them

Arrrr, well us country folks, you see, we has to find our amusements as we can. Shifting one-ton bags of soil is just wee light exercise to fill a boring hour for us !;)

This place has quite a lot of info on it I've never had a go at these tbh.I suppose it can work out cheap if you re-use the stubs from ones you have already?
