Mary, same here - I've somehow missed posts too as I experiment with different methods. When you say adding current page to favourites - is that the same as subscribing in the thread tools?

NualaBuala, no I just add it to my list of favourites in Internet Explorer. I have a folder called 'Threads I am following' and I add the link there. When it moves on a page I just add a new link and right click on the old one and delete it

As i say, works for me because I follow threads from different subforums and this cuts out a couple of clicks compared with going in through subscribed threads
It doesn't matter if you are a glass half full or half empty sort of person. Keep it topped up! Cheers!

I once had a hard drive die on me and it made me realise my whole life is on my computer. So I have become paranoid about backing up, including my internet favourites, which does tend to make you go through and weed. I even have a portable hard drive back up which I keep at my sister's place in case of burglary/fire etc. She brings it over when she comes to our house and I update it then she takes it back with her. Doesn't take long but gives me peace of mind

That's a really good idea Mary. I've backed up my main things online using Google documents but I really ought to do more.

  • I also save in my favourite and save the last page, that way you are sure of going back to the same place you left.

I keep meaning to send for some comfrey seeds, no one I know has a plant so i can't nick a bit - sorry borrow some!

Ginny, the OS way to acquire something like this is, as you say, through someone else, and as another poster says, if you buy seeds, you have the problem of it re-seeding all over your garden! I have a some small plants of a variety called 'Bocking 14' which is said to be the best for homemade fertilizer. If you want I can post some to you? PM me your address if you do :)

Ultimately - a Jag is just 4 wheels on a metal box - just a posher variety of car....

I think there are a variety of ways of looking at money. Some (errr...most??) people look at it as a way to get possessions. Some look at it as a way to get experiences (I understand THAT one rather better). My own take on it is that its something to be used to get financial security and freedom - and, if theres some to spare, then to derive enjoyment from figuring out the best way to gift it to groups that could do with a bit of a "helping hand".

It depends what "floats your boat" personally ....
