Why Put Off Until Tomorrow What You Can Do Today? :A
  • Evening all! I didn't know there was a weightloss forum here! MSE is enormous! I tend to stick to freebies and comps, and have a little look round everywhere else when I get a chance! (This sometimes takes hours which might be related to my lack of exercise, and why I am here!! ;) )

I was wondering, can I join please? Or could you let me know when there's space to join. I need a proper kick up the backside! I also need to not hide in lovely warm layers over the autumn/winter, only emerging in spring/summer even bigger!!

I'm a 38 year old woman with 3 kids and I like nice food and nice wine! (I particularly like nice cheap half price wine!) I am 13 stone 5lbs, but don't tell anyone! Ssshh!!

Hope I can join in the fun!

    CD :)

P.S. I'm from London. Is there some sort of North/South divide going on?! :D

Eurgh porridge with sugar. Gotta be a down south thing :rotfl:Shake of salt is all that's needed on porridge, don't even need milk
doesnt sound like porridge to me, sounds more like gruel

and my vote is for a beautiful crust of brown sugar on porridge (or 2nd choice probably golden syrup)
(dont like runny porridge though at all, I prefer it so thick that you can cut a slice out of it!)

well done to all the losers this week - especially to all on their first week... it's the beginning of a very happy journey :-).

ok,the stunners appear to have a small early lead in the competition, but maybe us beauties have a plan to lull you into a false sense of security! if you think its all over in the first round, YOU ARE SOOOO WRONG!

Betty, I have beans on toast 5 times a week, quite yummy and filling and feel like its a good compromise from the old fry ups that i used to eat too many of. Adding cheese sounds nice, just so long as it isnt loads of cheese, would probably need to be some extra strong flavoured cheese maybe so can get the taste without the quantity maybe??

Eric I really hope you get the results that you need next week

Fred - put me down for the 5lb challenge please.

Mazza - I knew you were a bit of a mad woman, but porridge made with salt and water? That's just wrong. I was willing to give you the benefit of the doubt, being a Scot, but no one else north of the border has agreed with you! lol I like mine made with jumbo oats, water, bit of 1% milk, 2 sweetners, and it's lush.

I agree with Eric about Sainsbury's 1% milk, it's just like semi-skimmed, but without the cals.

Welcome Cheap Date. Join in with the merry band here. Fredsnail is our chart compiler each week. You're right there is a north/south divide at the moment, to give us an added incentive to lose weight. If you'd like to be included, let Fred know and she'll add you to the list (north or south is your choice). The chart goes up late every Wednesday, so any losses need to be posted before then, preferably in big, bright bold colours, so it's easier for her to spot when skimming thru' the thread. The North/South competition is being based on the series Biggest Loser, so it's a % of weight lost, as opposed to the most pounds/kilos lost. If you read back a few pages to about this time last week, you'll see the conversations that led to it starting. How are you hoping to lose weight? Join in here for maximum support and benefits. We're a friendly bunch.

Off for my Indian meal tonight. I've been very good, and ordered chicken tikka, could have easily asked for a pasanda, but didn't want to undermine what I've done so far. Going to pick it up in five minutes. Well done to all the losers last week. Have a great week ahead, especially the marvellous Southern Stunners!

BTW, Eric, that looks a bit scary, but if it sorts you out, then I hope the test is a good one on Monday.
One day the clocks will stop, and time won't mean a thing

I forgot completely to send my results in yesterday. Good job I'm not in a team as I put on 3.5lbs. The sad thing is I don't know how .... I was eating to much the same plan as the previous 2 weeks.:(:(

    Oh well. Onwards and downwards.

Well done to all the losers and STSers, and really good luck Eric for a successful blood test.

    Southern Stunners --- BRILLIANT!

is that "of cornwall!" Jeez, if you stood cornwall upright that would be my yorkshire way. I cant share my southern status with cornwall. Theres only one south and thats kent. Cornwall is the west.

plus, i wouldnt be seen dead in anything like that. I wouldnt even stand next to that man.
