I did the sleep-in at work last night so I've had a fair amount of rest, and I have 11.5 hours to go before I'm due back in for the waking night. Crazy, huh?
Anyway, inspired by MissShoes' long list of things achieved over the weekend, I'm going to make a list for today which I hope to update as I getthings done/think of new things.
Sort plants/books/bricabrac for stall this weekend (I so need space!) STARTED
Send off letters regarding Mum's newsagents' bill (see earlier moan)
Put away laundry that doesn't need ironing 46 items so far
Put washing on line DONE THREE TIMES
Start another load of laundry DONE TIMES
Dust bedroom
Clean fish tank
Put animals in their run DONE
Do at least one batch of handwashing
Sort out any one other item of Mum's
Shop for dinner DONE
Send birthday cards
hoover DONE
Glue things that need glueing STARTED - this was not meant to include my fingers.Miggy

You crack me up miggy :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
I was always young at heart until recently, but i had a personality bypass, along the way.
Haven't you asked DS why? I'm interested to hear his reply. Maybe it will be, you don't understand, which is why you are asking me.
In a word ADRENALIN :rotfl::rotfl:
Excitement, anticipation, fear of the unknown, unpredictabilty, fun, adventure, uniqueness, err adrenalin, did i say ADRENALIN :rotfl:
This reminds me of a conversation i had with my ex OH many years ago. They were in a league of their own when it came to rock climbing, and would ' solo ' , almost anything. This means alone, without the use of safety equipment, ie ropes, if you fall.
To them this was true ' sport ' , and i guess the ultimate adrenalin rush, you against the rock / crag, physical fitness, mental ability, skill, mind over matter, whatever, knowing one mistake and you could potentially kill yourself. Now most of you would think this was insane and prefer to be planted on firm ground. I have a great love of other sports, ie yachting, skiing, raquet sports. To my OH, this was, as they called it ' manufactured ' sport, ie because you have a court and a net, they did not consider you had to be fit or skilled, or even worthy, to participate.
By the way, did you see the guy walking on water, this morning?
This is similar to D B, the power of the mind and manipulation.
I must add a comment. Nothing gives me or should i say, creates, adrenalin anymore.Debt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?

Missed the water-walking, sorry. DS1 hs seen DB live and was very impressed.Haven't you asked DS why? I'm interested to hear his reply. Maybe it will be, you don't understand, which is why you are asking me.

I got:
1) Shrug
2) 'Dunno'
3) Fit of coughing
...your answer was much more helpful.I don't do adrenalin - not in any major way. Think there must be something wrong with me, it feels too close to pain.
And I think there are a couple of good reasons you don't get adrenalin any more. Firstly, you've survived this far, so it must be harder to get a 'rush' from anything. Sailing close to the wind could become less exciting the more we do it? Secondly, and tied in with what FW says, you've had a tough few years. After a while you get emotionally depleted. You need a period of recuperation to get back to normal.
Would you be saying it in capitals if you had completely forgotten the feeling? This reminds me of a conversation i had with my ex OH many years ago. Now you have placed me in a very real dilemna (even if I can't spell it). Miggy, you are NOT to ask why this ex OH is ex. I SAID NO. It's not done. Because I said so.

Please note since i haven't yet learnt the art of multiquoting - yes Aesop, i can hear you :hello::whistle: i'll have to reply individually, as ever.
Good question. Maybe i'm full of sorrow, because nothing gives me this feeling anymoreDebt free - Is it a state of mind? a state of the Universe? or a state of the bank account?
