Totally failed to make salad.
Ha ha - DS2's friend is standing outside on the phone to DS2 inside... mind you I can't talk - have been known to email the person at the next desk.Miggy

@sda is okay for families..not so good for singletons. Find their veggies giant size LOL...good for bargains though (but so is my local S*)
Prefer A*di if I get he chance. Love their sea minerals bubble bath and it's only 55p a litre
And also their deo etc is pretty good as is their kitchen cleaner etc.etc. Only thing I've had lately that wasn't good was frozen sausages
Now superhero dress
Starkers painted green with birdies and jungle type esque theme....tights? who needs em. In fact I'm sure you could paint bushes and all sorts of things on yourself LOL (hope I didn't make anyone blush)...as for weapons of mass destruction. Try bazookas. (I is being very bad and it's a metaphor not to be taken literally FBI/MI6 please note)

Please note...do not try the above superhero's theme at home. No.10 downing street or St. James' Park or a cricket/rugby game well worth it though

Today started off as quite Ms due to being asleep (always helps) but has progressed...
The food budget has been under strain all week and finally burst at the seams, leading to me topping it up with £10 in T3sco tokens in order to feed us tomorrow. I generally try to save these to supplement birthdays and Christmas.
I later realised I'd not topped my phone up and I'm worried about running out of credit, so I went back and in doing so, found the marking down had happened - again there was no food budget left but I reckoned as we had the money elsewhere I would splurge and see if I can get away with less next week.
The upshot was I bought £19.80's worth of food for £1.66! A saving of I think £18.40! In fact it's the basis of lots of meals for next week or whenever - thankfully there was some room in the freezer.
I've also stewed some plums that were not being eaten by anyone - probably more than doubled the cost in the amount of sugar I had to add. Why do they seem more sour when cooked? Anyway, plum crumble it shall be.
I've also wombled 14p in Nectar points from yesterday's receipts and 5p off T3sco receipts.
It's amazingly late so I shall go for now. Probably back tomorrow.Miggy

Something has got into DS2 - he's sorted through the chest of drawers and wardrobe and turfed out the stuff he can no longer get into - some of it's been in there for years!
Of course the downside of this is that we will have to fork out for new stuff as sixth form is looming (possibly) and they don't have uniform.
The other downside is that two dodgy drawers disintegrated: neither DH nor I has the know-how to fix them but DS1 took a look, searched the shed for screws and apparently has the furniture back to working condition!
And after that DS2 noticed the CD shelf in the lounge was pulling loose from the wall, so he and I unloaded the extras that were piled on there, upon which I promptly forgot all about it, though apparently DS2 mentioned it to DH, who didn't hear him and put them all back. A few hours later there was a mighty crash...
Now DH has mended that too.
I visited Mum who is fine now apart from the cough which remains bad. They're going to call the doctor for her again tomorrow.
I have days off work... :j and I really need to do some piano practice... that's MORE piano practice... I have made a small amount of improvement but oh dear...Miggy

Did someone say Plum Crumble??? <pushes bowl forward>
Good to hear your Mum is doing better. I hope they sort the cough out. There's a nasty one going around here which is lingering for weeks. No one can get antibiotics for it as it's viral.
Enjoy your days off work. I could do with a few myself.0
