Didn't get the coffee grinder. Paid over the odds for the slicer. Hope I get the juicer and the small chopper thing..then the magimix is getting sold (if I get the chopper) and possibly the juicer...

Any idea how much I can get for a magimix le mini plus on ebay? (without blendermix)....Paid about 100 18 months ago. Still in GWO with a repair or two (by me- had to glue the control panel back on)...with all the attachments it came with (blade, slicer, whisk, mini chopper)

Ooh, I don't know... you'd have to check what they're going for but as a starter how about £49.99? Depends how good you are at repairs. ;)

glad you had a lovely time in Londinium, and that the Queen popped by to see you. It was the least she could do after the effort you made to visit the town.

I think the Queen was looking out of her window waiting for your arrival then rushed downstairs to get out to see you both! I have this little vision now of her running down the stairs and then composing herself at the door!!!!

Funnily enough, when the Royal Party disappeared off, I envisaged her saying to the various dignitaries "Have you got time to come in? I've just put the kettle on." We weren't offered one - but then as I've never asked her round either, that's quite understandable. :)
I completely get the overspend. But maybe it's good as it shows you a spendy trigger? I'm exactly the same and know that if I don't organise what I can and can't buy then I'll go on a frenzy.

That's it exactly - we should have seen it coming and made a Plan. Perhaps I should do that early for holidays. I might not think of everything but some sort of strategy and budget helps.
This control I currently have still feels quite superficial and delicate and although I feel that any blow out will either be minimal or will bring me to my senses early enough to take things back I still feel remarkably close to the back of the wagon to fall off! I sound like a spendy addict!

Hello everyone, my name is Muffin and I'm a compulsive spender.

:D Well, not quite compulsive - you've managed very well recently. I suppose newer habits are always more fragile though. I think diaries help in this respect: we run the risk of someone noticing if we go mad!
Oh, also £22.50 for what you bought sounds great. Isn't that what this is all about? Controlled spending rather than not having anything!

True. :) I'm not good at spending on myself but then when I read what some people buy, and look at the age of some of my things (or look in the mirror!) I feel I ought to buy a bit more! I was pleased with my bargains too. :)
How did your big breakfast go? Was the Queen there?

Unfortunately she had a prior engagement. :D Other than that all went well thanks!

It stays on for ages with tacky glue :)...I'll just give it a good clean do as you say....It was only glued on in the first place...It's only plastic anyhows.... not even knobs or buttons anyway. Just a wee thin piece of plastic...you'd have thought Magimix would have done better. :(

So yeah made bread in the Kenwood this am...:j Still need to get grease and find the gearbox. Have no idea where that is:P...Kenwood restore said it would need two tubes. I might just get one and see how I get on with it :)

Will have to ask on the kenwood thread....

Just been to post office to post some e-cig parcels and like Uncle K's cards he wanted making and got 12 large stamps and it came to a whopping £8 ..... Now how did that happen as I put on about 4 stamps before I even got there? and like large 2nd stamps are 58p as is

So yeah good morning Mrs Miggy.....No word on the CK job. I don't think I even have an interview :(...If I don't hear by the end of the week I know I won't have an interview :(...but God be praised. He has the perfect job lined up for me in his time :A

Postage is expensive - and did you hear it's going up again some time soon? Time to buy some in advance I think. (Superdr.g have 5% off I think). I hope Ebay put their postage allowances up.

Could that just happen to be baking with a side-line in fixing things? ;)

Today I haven't got much done so now I need to knuckle down.

    Text about plumber -DONE
Ring about piano lessons - DONE
Ring for appointment for sore eye - DONE
Sort out things for homegroup - PART DONE
Write to M and A - NOT DONE
Sort out recipes for raffle prizes. - PART DONE
    Email F - DONE
Transfer money if I can work out how to do it. - NOT DONE

The recipes thing... my friend talked me into supporting The Children's Society and they're having a raffle so we're supposed to donate prizes. I could just get a bottle of wine but that's not original so I thought I'd make a 'recipe in a jar' which isn't expensive but is quite fun.

It's just one of those days where things are a bit uphill.

I was getting quite down and putting off getting my bank details together to transfer from one pot to another - I was afraid I wouldn't be able to find them, I think. As it was they turned up fairly easily and I worked out what to do only to find it won't let me make the transaction until I register the card reader that they sent me some time last year and I never bothered with it because it was one more thing to have to do. ETA: all that without so much as a comma!)Of course I now don't have it to hand so I logged out and went shopping. :)

Shopping was nearly half my share of this week's food money. That includes ingredients for the raffle prize so I will have to do a bit of number crunching and pay myself that much back or I will be struggling. Also not happy at Mr T because they were sold out of basics flour and sultanas so I had to pay extra, then a couple of shop assistants walked in front of me (no 'excuse me's) and stood stacking shelves where I was trying to look for something. If the diet's so effective that I've become see-through, it's the first I've heard of it. Grump, grump.

Lugged it all home, am now waiting for me to make myself some coffee. I have, however, started the washing machine up again and made myself a snack so all is not lost.

If the diet is that effective write a book quickly - it'll be a bestseller I'm sure
