As someone (I don't know who) said, 'I didn't say it would be easy. I said it would be worth it'.
Having got myself in terrible trouble trying to do things in my own strength, I know I have this tendency myself, and yes, it's really really hard not to take the reins ourselves!

Happens sooo easily - especially if you haven't got a regular church where you feel you belong. Have you got one you could go to?Miggy

Today looks like being showery, which isn't very helpful. Well maybe in terms of averting drought it's helpful, but I'm talking laundry again. The laundry hamper is overflowing... again. How? I did four loads yesterday and one already today. *Sigh*.
Part of the list from two days ago is still outstanding, to be marked off when done:- Sort out things for homegroup
- Write to M and A
- Sort out recipes for raffle prizes
- Transfer money if I can work out how to do it
I have some housework to do and had been thinking of going down to the market so I can finally have a working battery in my watch.
I had a phone call first thing to say there has been more damage to the fence at Mum's house.I've reported it to the Police. We had been hoping all that had stopped as it's been quiet since the end of January.
The good news is that my weight's edging down and yesterday's using up a bread mix has saved £1 (had to pay for more yeast though).Miggy

No, not really settled into anywhere. Even at Christmas we haven't really settled at one place yet (7 years).

Churches can change a lot in seven years so have a look at notice boards and websites (http://www.findachurch.co.uk/home/home.php and http://www.achurchnearyou.com/ might give you some ideas. The second of these is Church of England, the first is multi-denominational). If you're anywhere remotely near me - North Yorks - I could see if I can suggest anywhere.
I never know what to expect when visiting a new church so a word with the person on the door to explain that you're visiting and could they tell you anything about the church might be a good way in.
The other thing you might find useful is mid-week activities - a women's group, Alpha course, Lent course etc. Depends whether you find Sunday morning or mid-week evening the more difficult.
Well the second lot of laundry is nearly ready so I think I had better make a move in that direction. The showers have stopped and I'm making the most of drying weather and trying not to use the dryer. I also need to look for that card reader!Miggy

Had a long talk with nice Police chap and they're going to give me an incident number.
Wish I didn't have responsibility for this... but it could be lot worse so I need to stop moaning. What was that I was saying about faith? Maybe I need to listen to my own advice! This morning's reading included Deuteronomy 1: 16-17.Maybe I'm being told something?

Thanks, I shall give those a look. Moat likely be the 2nd link although I find these days that many churches are either too 'high' or 'low' for me. I like mine to be 'middle' lolOur LBM: Dec 2011. DMP started: Jan 2012. Debt at LBM: £41,568

There's always an awkward one.I just had a thought - there's not so much distinction between Methodism and Anglicanism nowadays so you might find something there?
Today I've done absolutely zilch from my list and I don't know if I will tomorrow. Two loads of washing, a bit of ironing and putting away, decluttered about three pieces of paper... did I save or earn any money?
Well I have saved £20 in the last two weeks through missing piano lessons for various reasons and the same will happen next week, giving me £30 not spent. I think that will go towards the mortgage.I bought veg at the greengrocer's, which is better than supermarket stuff and I feel better supporting a local business (should do it more often) - but no actual savings made. I did pop into Mr T and asked nicely if there was any way I could request they restock a line that I used to buy regularly. The member of staff looked at me rather sadly and said she didn't know if it would do any good, but she'd try! And she's sent a request in for me.
I dropped some goodies off for Mum - they still had a warning notice on the door but the 48 hours without another outbreak of lurgy was nearly over. I've to ring tomorrow, and if it's clear I'll visit. I hope that all works out - I really mustn't catch anything because I'm back at work tomorrow for a run of four nights!
The day seems to have got colder and it's frosty out now. There was a such a cold wind that I avoided going to the market for ages and when I got there they were packing up, so I still don't have my watch battery. I'm getting used to it now.
I've been listing things that need to be decluttered / made presentable before our friends come in a couple of weeks... maybe it would be easier to emigrate...Miggy

Or else Evangelical Times has a list of 'reformed' churches where you might not get the happy clappy (the strict baptists though sing hymns. A lot of them do in fact) but decent preaching. Whether or not you agree with it is neither here nor there - as long as it makes you think
Flu a little better. Just fed the boys. Desperately need to get out grocery shopping today and to the chemist and like that list you made reminded me I need to get veggies and like seeds for my seed roast. Have run out...Have less than £10 for food this week so this could be interesting
Don't mention the poor OD. I thought I'd recently spent £50 on KC stuff. Nope it's more like £120 ....But hey ho. So no spring holiday now...Just can't afford it (even though accom should be free)....
Everyone have a good day

Shame about the flu and not having the spring holiday.
Mind you I think you've had so much fun out of your KC by the sound of it that it partly makes up for the holiday!
How did your Ebay sales go?
Now I've found the ET online... and to think I was planning on getting some jobs done... silly me...
Two kids with exam results today. This will be interesting!Miggy
