Confession time - My name is Miggy and I have spent £3 on mayonnaise mostly because I was cross with DS2!

(He missed his dental appointment so I have been and grovelled to them, and docked his pocket money - which will more than pay for the mayo! :D)

    Total spend:
    gift £4.99
    food £4.89
    Phone top up £10

And have 2 online orders to complete which will be over £50. :(

Meanwhile it's toad in the hole with beans, pickled onions and brown sauce for dinner - yum!

i don't know if you're interested and if you have excel but i have a spreadsheet (shared by Essex Hebridian) which shows you how much difference a repayment would make , you put in your usual payment and your interest rate and then how much you're overpaying by and it works out when you're mortgage free. Let me know if you're interested.

Have you tried http://www.whatsthecost.com ? It has a snowball calculator and you can adjust it for overpayments :money:
Can't believe you knit aswell as bake the birthday cakes miggy! Your a proper soccer mum aren't you!

Thats something else I've started taking up (well so far i have 2 balls of wool). Decided that with so many friends getting pregnant it would save on some pennies! Just need to learn what i'm supposed to do with the wool now... :D

I'll be looking for alot more than 1 days notice to knit something though...i'm thinking around 9 months to be exact! :rotfl: x

You'll have to hassle me for the link but I have this fab baby bootie pattern (crocheted) that I got off free crochet patterns or something? (actually the link is here and you have to sign up but still. It's called Mary Jane Baby Booties and the pic is in red but they are gorgeous!!!)....So yeah if you want to learn to crochet with simple line drawings my favourite link is here though sure you can find plenty of vids on youtube but still :). Wish that had been about when I taught myself to crochet :D..Over 10 years ago online :)

Anyhow just to let you know I'm upto date with Miggy's diary :T...

Now to forgo MSE..... and do some study :)...Off volunteering this pm to go food shopping but only have £3 left in purse (think I spent £2 odd on stamps yesterday and £1.18 on milk this am :()...

    Bad news Miggy...

The shoulder bag is tiny

Should have paid about £25-30 for a decent one...

Think I might get the morrocan one in the new year (28cm) for about £30

    With the inner...

Maty, have you tried one of those handbag organisers? I just wondered what they're like to use and how robust they are? I am forever losing things in the depths... :D

I haven't tried them myself as I have one bag that gets flogged to death and when it does I invest in another. The odd exceptional time I will use an evening bag but it only usually has money, keys and lippie in it!

The ones I have looked at seem to be quite well made of tough material, almost like canvas so I would expect them to be quite robust.

Thanks for your replies everyone... just finished doing nights for the time being (back on Sunday) and have been trying to catch up with diaries but not doing too well at it. Head not together - lack of sleep is not good for my brain!

Today was so nearly an NSD but they were selling off garlic bread for 13p each at Mr T so I have put 4 in the freezer, thus saving £2.88 and hassle when I have guests round. :)

Pay should have gone through - will have a quick look at my bank account before bed.

Yeah I ordered a new handbag last night. A fabric saddle bag. Saddle bag (complete with the strap) is very important. What it's made of less so. She didn't provide measurements (again) and so far hasn't replied to my email and like gave a load of T & C's  but here's hoping :A

Thanks Erme. :) I slept half the morning today, so goodness knows how I'll be tonight but I have to be awake over Sunday night so I need to stock up on sleep now. Then I have days and days and days off - till New Year unless any relief hours come up. Yippee!

That's another really nice bag! Let's hope the dimensions are better this time.

Och no...will pray they come in time for next week...

Just got a note from that lassie who sent the tapestry bag and she's posted it already :)

So now have to leave ID for my rat keeper and pray he picks it up if it comes too soon as apparently the post office only hold recorded signed for for 7 days and I'm away about 9 in total.....

Anyhow you're going to have to read my blog folks as I've had a wee whoopsie (another) to have some fun - real MSE fun too. I gave myself an early holiday present :j :j :j

  • *Caught up with Miggy's diary!

Loving the hot choc with friends! BIG TICK!!! Still trying to convince my OH to bring that DAM coffee machine through!!!

Also laughed at your £3 mayo spend - my goodness you should have seen me before I'd have spent that every week!

Loving the pics of bags aswell :D Been creeping on the pics! I've also though about those bag organisers but they are a *want* item right now and i've had more than my years share of they kind of items so that will just need to wait! x
