i'll have to have a go at the mushroom soup.
Miggy i had a 'guests coming to dinner incident today', we're trying to use up our freezer before the move and i found a duck (reduced in co-op ages ago) so invited my folks around.
whilst busily preparing a roast (not often seen in this place) i decided to be clever and stick a wash on and run the cleaner through the dishwasher, anyway stupidly i added some stardrops in the dishwasher and ended up with a bubble party in the kitchen and a triped switch which halted the roast pretty promptly. Dinner was yummy but it was almost an hour late which isn't good as my dad can't cope when things aren't at the time that people say they're gonna be.0 -

I consider myself warned - keep the Stardrops away from the dishwasher!On the plus side I expect you have an ultra-clean floor, but shame it happened when you had a guest who 'needed' to be on time. If it's any consolation, it was a complete one-off and will never happen again!
(And not a wash-out of a dinner... sorry, couldn't resist!)
Glad it's not just me though.How are you doing with emptying the freezer?

lol no it's not just you.
emptying the freezer isn't going very well, we can't seem to leave the bargains on the shelf in the supermarket, such a downfall but we really must use some stuff up otherwise it will all defrost whilst we're moving and waiting for the gas in the freezer to settle.0 -

Freezers should come with a health warning - ours also magnetically attracts bargains.
I missed how far you're moving but if it's not too far, is there a friend willing to loan a bit of freezer space for a few days?Miggy

Today looks like costing quite a bit.
DH has his half of the food money and I have mine, and I've also got out £10 for this week's piano, paid for two prescriptions and been to the supermarket. I'll have to go back later as what I got was bulky and heavy and it's easier to do two trips than collapse!
Today's spending:
prescriptions = £14.80
food shopping / housekeeping = £19.59
Christmas food shopping = £1.61
Presents = £6Miggy
