Argos for me. I had a cooker off them when I moved out from parents home. At least 3 times (minimum) they lost my order and delivery details & didn't deliver when said, went into store numerous times, to be told they'd not heard of me nor my order. Then when delivered, the men dropped my cooker off the back of the truck instead of using the lift on the back and mangled all the bottom, but still decided to drop it off anyway and tell me its fine, then took another month of chasing them to actually come and replace it with one they hadn't thrown out the truck... they never turned up to replace the cooker, so I ended up having to cancel the order and go elsewhere. But they were bloody quick enough to come and collect the damage cooker and just go, they were so quick it was the day after they came to collect.
Why they couldn't have given me that service in the 1st place I'll never know.O0 -
CIS- a shower of !!!!!!
8 moths to sort a claim out, and it was their driver at fault, then they wrote the cheque out to someone else, and offered me £25 as a godwill gesture. I ended up getting £500 after threatening them0 -
I'd like to vote for George/Taylor Wimpey. Why? Very briefly...
Save for years to buy own home.
Reserve and pay fees and everything else whilst legal stuff happens.
A week before exchange solicitor rings as very concerned.
Problem? You bet. Wimpey have pushed land boundary to be greedy and have built home on land they don't own. Can't offer title on property.
They offer an indemnity policy which covers the absolute bare minimum in event of future land disputes once Wimpey have your cash and have legged it.
Solicitor/mortgage company/us all very unhappy.
Wimpey come back stating as we haven't exchanged yet they will entertain no claims at all for lost funds - reject all claims of incompetance and essentially tell us to $$$$ off...really...you should hear their legal manager defending the dirty so and so's.
We have to leave the sale, lost some belongings as had no-where to live for a while as it was in friends garages during the cold wet months when it should have been in our home.
Pete Redfern the Chief Exec. doesn't give a damn, there's plenty more suckers in the ocean like all of you lot.
Final result? They sold it cheap to one of their own managers for cash and I believe it's now being rented out.
Disgusting from start to finish - avoid, avoid, avoid. Words to live by there!0 -
Powergen gets my vote. They tried to charge us on estimated readings even though we sent them the actual reading. Was told that was it when we rang up. Then we get a letter saying they're sending the bailiffs round and that very evening we hear 4 or 5 knocks on the door, the last being about 5 minutes after the 1 before. Needless to say we didn't make a sound. Finally sorted after we rang them up demanding to talk to a manager. Needless to say we've never used powergen since.Boris Johnson voted against Brexit in the Commons, all to become leader of the Conservative Party. Fall for it and you deserve everything you get.0
