These guys don't pay, i have been trying to contact them for 2 weeks and have had no luck, they have my phone and don't respond to phone calls or emails. I'm assuming its a Scam and the more i look into them the more it seems this way.
Email Addresses i have tried
customerservice@skyphones.org
sales@skyphones.org
tom@skyphones.org
Contact Number : 020 8850 4211
Ive run a business check on them and that says new business with no records.
The address given is residential.
Does anyone else have any information on this??
Thanks0 -
Somehow I didn't get the lower offer on my phone - it was in pretty good condition but that doesn't seem to matter to them!
They had my phone for 17 days and I heard nothing after the 'we have your phone in for testing' message. Sent a letter (recorded delivery) and copy via email threatening to black list the phone and call the police, full £110 hits my account the next day!
Coincidence?0 -
Hi guys,
I too have fallen into the Skyphones trap it seems.
I sent off a brand new HTC Touch HD to them, which they valued at £110.
The phone was a direct replacement by orange, and was even sent in the official replacement handset box that the phone was delivered to me in, with screen protector film still attached.
I waited for over 2 weeks for a response after they acknowledged receipt of the phone and this is what I received:
"We would like to inform you that your item order No. (####) has now been through our technical department and has been accepted,
however it does not meet the requirements for full payment. Upon inspection, the following faults were found:
Scratches on the screen and body.
In this instance we would like to offer you £100 for your phones.
If you do not reply within 3 days we will assume you accept the revised price and will process the payment.
If you choose to decline our new offer please reply to this e-mail and after an administration charge of £12 is paid we will send the handset back to you within 7 days.
Thank you for choosing us to recycle your handset and keeping the environment clean for our future."
This seems to be a generic email sent to everybody who sends in a mobile, as the handset was un-used and un-marked. I should be able to get Orange to verify this and I took photographs of the phone prior to sending. I invisige the problem is going to be getting a response. 1hr on the phone, no answer.
"Co-incidentally", the website revised the price of my phone to £100 some days after I had sent mine off..
Any advice on what my email should include?
Regards

hi guys,
i too fell foul of skyphones, but there is still hope for everyone so don't panic. i sent two phones and got a valuation back of £217, and i got the same old as eveyone else, valuation email, money on the way email, then nothing for 3 weeks, sent emails, tried phoning, nothing back at all. I decided to take matter into my own hands and find out where they are based. they actually come under greenwhich trading standards, so i went to the trading standards website and you can phone a consumer advice line. the only advice they give you is to pursue your claim through the courts and give you advice on what to put in your letter. but, and here is the BUT. i was very lucky, apparently they pass your details on to trading standards, and no sooner had i spoken to the advice line, about 2 hours later greenwhich trading standards phoned me, and asked me for my order details and email info, they then said they would look into it for me. by 4pm that day i had £217 paid into my account. my advice, if you can get through to greenwhich trading standards, go straight to them. if not, try the consumer advice line on the trading standards website and hope they pass on your details. good luck0 -

Just thought I would let you know that today I received my money for the 2 phones I sent to Skyphones about 3 weeks ago.
I sent many emails but didn’t get any replies but my system said that michael@skyphones.org did receive them.
At the end I got in touch with my local trading standards office who informed me to send Skyphones a recorded letter to tell them to send me my money or I will take legal action. Guess what next thing I know I got my money. My local trading standards did know about this company.
I would say keep away from this Skyphones.
Hope this helps anyone who is waiting for their money.0
