If My Pennies Were Pounds...

We made a decision last night that if we are going to be redecorating the bedroom then the dog will need to start sleeping downstairs. At the moment she likes to lie with her back against the wall (for the coolness) but has a tendancy to kick her bed out of the way and the wall is covered in scratch marks. So now we need to get her used to the idea that she sleeps downstairs, not sure how easy that is going to be?!
Not much to report money wise, OH came in with 3 £2 coins the other night and was miffed when I took them off him and put them in the sealed tin, think he regrets showing them to me! :rotfl: Approx £156 in the tin now :j
Off to my Gran's tomorrow night, it's their Golden W/A tomorrow and all the family are heading down to them for a big meal etc, will probably be an expensive weekend, what with the meal and all the petrol that will be needed
Totally off topic and not at all money related but I am feeling sooo broody right now! My two best friends both have young kids (14 months and 11 months), one is expecting again and the other is trying for number 2. I guess it is their fault! Not that we are in the position for that just yet, but it's hard not to think about it! God, I know what you mean! I have never been very bothered about babies - other people's are cute and all, but I never got excited (I don't have younger brothers or sisters and all my cousins are older).
I went to see my friend last week with a gorgeous one-week old baby. I just wanted one, just so cute and lovely. But then they changed the nappies and I changed my mind. 0 0

            Morning everyone!
Well we had a lovely weekend down at my Gran's, nice to get all the family together again. Spent quite a lot, or rather OH did but it was a special occasion...
Today I have paid £25 off my student loan, only £949 to go now...:o
Yes MustStopSpending, I have heard that they are very worthwhile However I don't think I'm quite ready for it yet, I'm only 22 and would quite like OH to put a ring on my finger first! :rotfl: VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 However I don't think I'm quite ready for it yet, I'm only 22 and would quite like OH to put a ring on my finger first! :rotfl: VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

I'm 30 and have the ring (and some wedding debt to prove it!!)
£949, chipping away at it good and proper - well done you!0

Well done Pennies, you're showing that debt who's boss!!
Also I'm 25, and I'm still waiting for the ring!! Hehe0

Oh I haven't been on in a while! Been busy with the family for the last couple of weeks as it was my sister's engagement party on Saturday there!
Speaking of engagements and rings, I happened to see a lovely ring in the window of H Samuels the other day, subtly left the picture showing on the laptop so OH would see it...told him to keep the style in mind :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
Not really much to report on the money front, have had a few more £2 coins lately, I reckon my total is approx £162 now. Haven't paid any more off the student loan as I'm STILL waiting on my expenses being paid at work  Sister said she is going to pay me some more of the money she owes me soon, but will wait and see, not holding my breath!
Following on from the broody/baby talk, I think my sister is pregnant...not sure if I should ask her as I don't want to offend! But the signs seem to be there; she has been very emotional lately, getting a bit of a belly (but no weight gain anywhere else), has been wearing loose tops the last few weeks, refused offers of drinks at her engagement party and they are in the process of moving house and her OH wouldn't let her carry any heavy boxes...what does everyone think?! I would say she IS prob pregnant, i remember not wanting to tell anyone (family included as sil cant keep that sort of news to herself) with ds2 and wanted to wait till after the scan. Everyone guessed of course! Try hinting that you have guessed, that way if she has just put on weight you wont offend her!
On the subject of babies and rings, i have done it all backwards! Fell pregnant at 22, had ds1 at 23. Bought our first house whilst i was pregnant (ds1 came 4 weeks early, started labour the night we moved in), bought a bigger house, had ds2 when i was 26 and only just got the ring now at 28!!!!!!
I dont get broody at the moment, i hold newborns (as cute and snuggly as they are) and all the 2 hourly feeds, tiredness, fatness etc comes flooding back. Think it may be a while before i get broody again! lol!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22
 Weight loss: 1.5lbs0

Well the mystery is solved! I decided not to ask her as I didn't want to offend and being my sister I knew she would come to me and tell me something like that in her own time...just the other night she came to me and told me that they are trying for a baby - so glad I didn't ask!
My OH has been talking about weddings a lot lately, he was asked to be an usher for my sister's wedding but said he isn't sure as he wants me to see him in a kilt for the first time at OUR wedding...:D maybe that is a sign of things to come?! I don't want to get my hopes up though!
Not much to report on the money front, pay day on Friday so should tackle some of the Student Loan then...still waiting on expenses from work, am assuming I'll be getting them with my pay now though I never usually do. I wouldn't mind but it is about £110.
We have quite a few birthdays coming up soon and need to get organised. OH's birthday in a few weeks and I have no idea what to get him! Anyone got any ideas, he'll be 22.VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

Is he into football? I usually get my OH a ticket to the game, but he banned me from that after watching his team lose....
Depends what he's into and what your budget is...0
