Thanks for stopping by New Leaf! My diary isn't very interesting, I put up the odd photo of the dog and pretty much just ramble on! Keeps me entertained anyway! VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

Thanks MustStopSpending, will start looking at their goodies so that I can plan my Christmas Shopping!
I have got one idea for OH already, he loves comedy and Jason Manford is coming to us in April, so that will be an easy present for him! It's only £20 a ticket which isn't too bad. Will maybe get those sorted when I get paid this weekend so that it's done and out of the way.
Got £8 in £2 coins at the weekend so total is approx £186 now
And we have officially started the decorating in the bedroom, we moved in to the spare room at the weekend so that we could get in there and make a start...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

            Another update from me.
Have got approx £188 in £2 coins now, and I decided to count our spare change, we have £53.85 :T
OH informed me that he thought he had put a £100 note into the spare change tin but it wasn't there so he said he might have put it in the £2 tin instead  (that's a  in a good way by the way!) - either that or he's spent it and forgotten! I'm not counting on it being there, but a £100 surprise would be fab
I got paid today so that's another £26 off the loan, I'm now sub £800 as my outstanding balance is £792 :j:j:j I'm really happy with how much I've paid off since I started my diary.
Will be updating my VSP tomorrow but will probably pay a little extra so that my ISA is rounded up to the next £50 (bit of compulsive money watching there! ) )
Next sale starts on Saturday so will be going to that, we have about £140 in gift cards that we got for christmas last year (we asked everyone to give us the same thing) and I'm hoping I can get the new curtains etc for the bedroom cheaper!
 Anyway people, feel free to comment on my posts/progress so far! VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

Oh I meant to add that I reached the threshold for my first payout on VO, have requested a £10 Tesco voucher, hopefully it won't take the 28 days that they say to allow!VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0

            Hi Pennies!
We saw Jason Manford in June, I bought OH tickets for XMas last year, he was awesome!! Really, really funny, I don't think I have ever seen OH laugh so much . Highly recommended by me! . Highly recommended by me!
Well done on getting your student loan balance down so much and great totals on the VSP and £2 pots, I am quite envious
I love Boots 3 for 2 BUT....I find always end up just buying 'stuff' because I think it's good value so I am trying to avoid Boots in general this year. I have a funky little spreadsheet where I have family members in columns with what I have already bought and the amount, then further down I have an 'ideas' section. I just make notes when I hear them talk about things they want
Very happily married on 10th April 2013

            Thanks for stopping by Jody!
I'm going to organise the Jason Manford tickets today I think as these kind of things sell out quickly here and I don't want to be disappointed!
I can't wait for the boots 3 for 2, I find I do the same and always see stuff that I want but probably wouldn't really use! I'll still be going to look though!
There wasn't much in the Next sale at the weekend. Got a few decorative bits for the bedroom once it's complete, should have cost £21.50 and I got the stuff for £8
Didn't really do much else to be honest, had a quiet cosy night in last night. Trying not to spend too much too soon after payday because it is 4 weeks on Friday until we get paid again, so it makes for a long wait!
I've got one small wall in the bedroom that needs the wood chip scraped off but it's an absolute pain and it's not coming off no matter what I try. We don't have a steamer and the suggestion of scoring the wall and then wetting with a sponge isn't making much difference. Anybody got any other helpful hints or tips?!
