    Hi Pennies,

Didn't want to read and run. Short answer is that I don't know. I have quite a good credit history, so when I got mine, it just listed all the credit I had, with little green ticks beside each month to show that I pay everything on time.

My other half has a bad one, as he went guarantor for his mum on something, and it had red marks all over. Realise this is very simplistic, but that's literally all I know!

    Hi Pennies!

I have also started to buy Xmas presents, nothing wrong with being organised and starting early ;).

I look at my credit report quite often through Experian, it will show any and all credit accounts held, balances, credit limits, number of on time/late payments etc. It should also show any previous addresses, linked names and electoral roll information.

Very useful if you plan to get credit and to keep an eye on things, I apparently have a Barclays account but have no record of EVER setting one up so I need to look into that!

Well done on your NSDs this week, considering I desperately needed a cheap week I am not doing very well

Very happily married on 10th April 2013 :D

  • Well my 'just nipping in to tesco for a bread and dog food' turned out to be 'I'll just get everything we need' so I ended up spending just under £40  £21 of that was a 15kg bag of dog food that will last all month though.

When I got back from Aqua-fat and shopping, the pup was that excited to see me that she jumped up on the chair to say hello. Unfortunately my new photo frame from IKEA was leaning on that chair and she put her paw right through the glass. Pup is ok, but the frame isn't :rotfl:

Oh and seems that my moaning about my sister paid off, although I didn't once mention the money situation to her, when we got to Aqua-fat she told me she had just transferred £100 in to my account, checked when I got home and sure enough it was there :j

  • Good morning! SO glad it's Friday, bank holiday weekend here so I've got Monday off work :j

I've transferred £3.10 in to my VSP this morning, making my total £75.08, I've been putting this in to my ISA so that I can try and save some money, I would love to be able to use a full ISA quota for a tax period, but I've never done it so far and somehow don't think I'm going to get £5,100 paid in it this year either! :rotfl:

So it's a week today until payday...£100 left in the bank...I'm sure that is perfectly do-able, however I still have one direct debit to go out, I was hoping to pay that odd £20 off the student loan before pay day and I'm going to need petrol soon...might be cutting it a bit fine! :(

I'll probably only put £20 of fuel in the car and the direct debit is only for £13.50, plus £20 for the loan, will leave me with £46.50 :o

hey pennie ... sorry been night shift so barely here (kept up with my diary thats about it) sorry to hear you hadf all the grief over your sister ... glad you got the money ... i had lent a friend money once and i swore from then on i would never do it again ... not worth the hassel ...not sure about experian or anything i know ours is good that's really all i know about credit ...right well off to go lift the money to pay the people i owe so that i will just have the student loan and the visa left in debt (although technically the visa is debt free as i have the money in a saving account)
  • Thanks El. Boo to being on nightshift :p Is that you finished the nights now?

I've not really had grief with my sister, in that I've kept my grievances to myself because I didn't want to cause an argument :p But atleast she has paid £100, just another £450 to go now...not sure how long it will be before she has fully paid me back though :o

That's great if you can get it down to just the student loan and the visa. When are you planning to pay the visa if you already have the money put aside?

I take it you are waiting to get these paid off before you post your new debt totals on your thread then? :)

    Hi,

Have been reading your diary since the start but not posted anything. Just wanted to say keep up the good work. Not only are you doing a great job, it's an interesting read as well. I'm only posting in my diary once or twice a month because I think that no one is reading it anyway :D.

All the best to you and keep posting :)

  • Thanks for stopping by Ashamed :)

I often think that no one is reading, I have a handful of trusty followers but that's about it! It's more ramblings to myself anyway and to get my thoughts down on (virtual) paper :p

    I wouldn't have said that I'm doing a great job, but it's a start.

My OH says it's stupid and boring writing this diary, but then he has no debts so he doesn't fully understand! And I think it's more women that keep diaries anyway (no offence to any male diary keepers) :D
