  • Hey everyone.

Ds2 is 2 today! How time flies eh?! He is having a nap now so catching up on a few jobs whilst i can.

The new cc has come so just transfered the hbos cc, so in a few days that should all be sorted then at least its at 0%. That should help have that and mil payed off by may next year.

not much else happening at the moment, have been having a read over on the wedding board for hints on how to save money on the wedding. Some good ideas and have found a dress i like on one of the websites they suggested. Its £200 which is really good seen as the type of dress i like is nearer £1k! Have an idea on most things like table decorations and flowers and stuff, just need a venue. Have a mate who has done a photography course so might get her to do some pictures and the food shoould be cheap as dont want a 3 course dinner, i want a simple bbq buffet for the day and bacon sandwiches and chips for the evening. Figure if the venue want my money then they will have to agree.:D Not sure if its normal to plan all this type of stuff so far in advance but figure if its all planned then the run up shouldnt be as stressful.

Ok, thats it for wedding talk, you can wake up now.

Off to think of more ways to make money and get these debts paid off.

  • Yawn..................................................my god i am so tired. Ds1 has a cold and bad chest setting off his asthma (cue mini asthma attack at 1 this morning) and ds2 has chicken pox!!!! Its all go in the rags household.

Still plodding away at the debts, the balance transfer now showing up on the 0% card so just waiting for it to be finalised. Will be able to make a good overpayment next month as done extra shifts this month, October will be a good month for me and will be able to make a big overpayment as have got what seems like a hundred shifts! My manager has kept to her word giving me full time hours with an extra 4 shifts on top of that!!! Just thinking of seeing the debts at £0.00 will keep me going.

Still waiting for my fellas overtime money to come through (yep, this one seems to be a record wait) and have got a few cakes lined up and my fella has a few days overtime in the pipeline.

Just trying to work out a meal plan for next week so i can do a shopping list for tomorrow, and will try my hardest to stick to it. Putting in some new meals i have got from a cook book in the back of my cupboard (family meals for under a fiver) as seem to having the same meals all the time and im getting bored. Gonna attempt to make calzones tonight but not sure what to put in them as OH doesnt eat cheese...................................was thinking chirizo sausage (as have some that needs using up) but not sure what to put it with. Baked beans? tomatoes and potato???? any ideas?

Cant believe the kids are back at school soon, is nice having lazy mornings on my days off and not having to rush. and ds2 loves having ds1 home to play.

Have not had a cup of tea or coffee for 3 days as think it makes me bloated, but really craving it today as so tired. gonna try a cup of hot chocolate to see if that sorts the craving out.

  • Hi Rags! Happy Friday!

That's really good that your manager kept her word with the extra hours, you'll be tired but think how much better your situation will be when you make all of those overpayments! :)

Does your fella like mushrooms or peppers? They go really well with chorizo...

  • The boys are on the mend thanks pennies, its me thats poorly now. Got a stinking cold and sore throat, not much on paper but i forgot just how much a cold can make you feel yukky. Not what i needed with the milllions of extra shifts i have. Oh well, will make paying them off that much better. (and if i can work through it i might get more than full time hours the following month if the nurse is still off)

Its the start of yet another month, where has this year gone?!?!?! and so the cycle of paying bits off starts again. Will have a little extra from this months wage to overpay and still have my cake money to go towards the debts. Now the hbos card has been transfered that amount will at least go off the total and i dont have to try and guestimate interest anymore!!!

Need to order ds1's school shoes this week and get him a trackie top for outdoor pe, oh and a lunch box and he is ready to go back to school! He has shot up this summer so now having to buy him a whole load of new clothes, socks, undies and pj's!!!! gettine a few bits each week so it doesnt seem as much. All hail puting money aside each month to cover it!!!!!

Right, off to finish my lemsip and get ready for work. Kids will be easy to get up today as they are going to nanni's house!

  • I am feeling very sorry for myself today. Still feeling yacky with this blumming cold and now i am losing my voice!!! Will make today at work very interesting.

Not much else going on really. Just waiting for a few payments to come out and payday really. Still no sign of the OH's overtime, we are now asking for it daily and the OH has refused to do any more overtime for him till its paid. Just fobs us off though saying he will sort it.

Need to renew my driving licsence, bit of a rip off having to pay £20 for the privalage, if its required by law it should be free!!! they dont charge for change of details so why charge to change the photo when they have made it run out of date?!?!?!?!?! ( rant over)

right off to look for my voice, know i left it around here somewhere!

  • Still feeling pretty pants but am off work today and tomorrow and OH said i can have a good lie in on sat to try and help me get over this cold. Really proud of myself for getting through my 3 twelve hour shifts as really struggled yesterday. Its amazing what the thought of money can get you through:rotfl:

Might be good for my weight loss plan though as am having to force myself to eat as food doesnt taste of anything. Just get a rumbly tummy that makes me feel a bit sick. Sure i will make up for it though once im better.

The first payment of the month has come out today, meaning i have paid back just over £6.5k so far this year!!! not bad considering i had reached my target of 4k this time last year!!

Planning my xmas pressie list at the moment, that way i dont feel bogged down nearer the time and can shop around for the best deals!!! I did a baking basket type thing for my nieces and nephews last year that went down so well, gonna do them a grow your own type one this year as have loved messing about with mine. Gonna start looking as everywhere will be selling their stock off soon. Beats trying to buy a pressie for them as they get mountains on the day and dont know what to do with it all.

right, off for a look around here and have my lemsip.
