Hi rags
I have seen your previous diaries, well done on getting a handle on your debts again.
Congratulations on your engagement. He must really care to put up with the nagging, and not tell you what the money was really for lol.
Ref the cake thing. If things start really getting off the ground, you might want to think about registereing as self employed.......
chevI want a job that is less than an hour driving away from my house! Are you listening universe?

Well an back online again after my computer wire broke meaning no battery. All fixed now (and at a fraction of the price quoted by the local computer shops, thanks ebay!) and the battery now charges so can take my laptop all round the house!!! (not sure why i would want to but can all the same)
The decorating is now finally done! Ds2's room done (just need to move the car boot stuff in their for tomorrow, ds1's room up and curtain pole re-fitted after he pulled it down (and now has strict instructions never to swing on it again) and bathroom done and accesseries in place. Spent a[STRIKE] little [/STRIKE] lot more than i wanted to but oh it does look good. Have promised myself i wont decorate that room for a long time as it just looks so nice. The towel rails and that are dark chrome and have put a nice mirror up with a shelf underneath for all the tolietries and that.
Need to get back into thinking skintly and not spending. Have dome my weekly shop and spent £70. more than budgeted but we have nothing in the freezer or cupbords. Did think as i went around about meals i could make and bought enough for the week. Gonna write the meals down so OH (or should that now be DF as now my fianceesorry, it hasnt worn off yet) can follow them when im at work.
my mantra for the week is: debts = no wedding. Should help get me back on track.
Off to sort my car boot stuff out for tomorrow, wish me luck. (have loads and loads to sell so fingers crossed)December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Glad the decorating looks good
Hope the car boot goes well tomorrow and you get lots of money to help towards you becoming DF. The wedding will be a nice incentive to help towards busting the debtGC: Nov: £60.22/£450 Oct: £338.48/£450, July: £363.05/£450, June £447.98/£500£2 savers No68: £104/£100 :j:jmummy to: 8yr, 5yr, 3yr, 2yr, 1yr. I love a good plan - it may not work.... but I love a good plan!0 -
I am happy to report we made a grand total of £50 on our car boot, but even happier to report we sold at least half of our stuff! Was torn at first between making some money and getting rid of the stuff.................getting rid won so prob would of made more money had we charged more for things. Planning on doing another soon as still have more stuff to sell (couldnt fit it all in the car:o) and still have half the boys clothes left. That along with last weeks and this weeks cakes money should give us a good overpayment this month. all going in the right direction for once.
T'was payday today so have paid some to the cc, will pay mil this week and then wait for the other payments to come out. Have managed to get an extra 2 shifts for this month so will have a good overpayment to make next month. Another nurse has gone off sick and another will be going on maternity leave soon so have been putting my feelers back out to go back to full time. Am doing full time hours mostly every month with the overtime so might as well do it and get the full holiday intitlement for it. Fingers crossed, means i would be ok whatever happens to my tax credits (still not heard) and should still be able to make some overpayments each month.
Nothing else much going on round here, working again tomorrow then have 2 days off so will try and spend time with the boys and tidy the house (mainly the clothes that need sorting as washed and dried but just thrown in a heap on the floor) may do some baking as need to make the cakes for the 2 christenings this sunday. Have to do a handy manny (disney channel for those without kids) cake, keep thinking of ideas but not fully decided yet, must do soon though as will need to order toppers.
Never did get round to doing a meal plan but OH being good and making the kids stuff (even if it is freezer stuff bunged in the oven). Will do one for next week though, just need some ideas as seem to lack ideas when doing them so one week is the same as the next. Have been watching an italian cooking programme lately and some of the food she does looks so simple and quick to make! gonna check out the website as they apparently convert the measurements to english (how much exactly is 1 stick of butter!?!?!?) and will start trying them out. 1st on my list is a calzone as OH cant have cheese this is a perfect solution. Hoping that cutting out most of the processed stuff should help ds1's behaviour (have noticed he becomes quite wired when fed on junk or not eating properly) and stop me being grumpily sluggish and bloated.
Think i have waffled enough for now, hope everyone else is doing ok? must try and get round all the diaries.
Good night.

Im feeling a little less stressed today than yesterday. I have rejigged my budget but will overspend by £6 a month. Nohing else i can cut back on, have even had to reduce some of my debt payments down on the ones we were paying more than the minimum on. Really going to have to go full time at work, its the only way we can keep our heads above water. Fingers crossed, gonna talk to my manager next week.
Also going to look at seeing if we can get the hbos cc onto a 0% card or a cheaper life of balance one. OH hasnt applied for any finance products for a while so should be ok.
In the process of making two cakes at the mo for sunday, my kitchen looks like a bombs hit it but it smells yummy.
Not much else going on debt wise really, focusing on how to keep in budget. One step forward, two steps back!!!!!!!!!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Have taken my one step forward for today, applied for the card and its been accepted!!!!!! The thing on the email from here said it was a 0% card with a 1.9% fee, but the advert on the site said its a 1.9% card with a 0% fee????? will see which i get, both is fine really as much much lower than what we are paying at the moment.
My mum has just picked me up a food processor (mr K) at £5.99, it just has the blades missing which will be able to get cheap on the net some where. I am happy as wanted one for ages but couldnt justify the cost of one......now i dont have to!
