Its not much but my one debt busting thing completed today is getting the £50 i was owed by my house phone people back and transfering it towards the debts. Whilst i was on the phone i also dropped my package down as really dont use the house phone so made a saving of a fiver a month to my soa!!!! not massive in the grand scheme but means i now have £18 left over a month. That will hopefully not be spent now we have pocket money and will slowly shrink the overdarft we have got back into.

£50 off the debt is great, and although you say £5 a month isn't much, it's still £60 a year. :T
We don't even have a house phone, we refused to pay £110 to get one put in when we moved in, especially when we get free calls on our mobiles. We got fibre optic (no landline required) broadband with virgin and it's great, no cold callers, no time wasters.VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
When you add it up over the year, your right pennies. £60 is better than nothing.
The weather here is rubbish, looking out the window you would think we were in the middle of november, not july. windy and raining. great for the start of the summer hols.:(:(
Nothing much happening money wise, although its still nice to see no silly spending on the bank account. Am so proud of my fella this week for sticking with it. Maybe he has finally seen the light???
Did lots of baking yesterday afternooon, oat and choc muffins, choc chip cookies. ginger biscuits in lots of shapes..................... Used all my baking supplies up so they are all down on my shopping list. Had to convince the OH that it was cheaper buying the ingredients as i could get so much more from a bag of flour than buying a pack of biscuits. He loves my baking so dont think he will mind the shopping list getting a little longer from it and at least i know whats in them for the kids.
Did anyone watch the undercover boss last night? my mil was on it!!!!!! she came across so well and thats exactly how she is, and its not often someone from kendal appears on tv.so proud of her.
Right off to sort through bags of clothes we were given ages ago for ds2 that were too big, will prob fit him now.

silly spending is still at a minimum, OH did get a tenner out at the weekend to pay for parking and sweets for the boys............promptly told him we now only have £8 left in the budget for the month and its things like that we are supposed to use our pocket money.....none left? then walk into town taking some sweets out the cupboard with you!!!! simples!:D
going on our jollies on sunday!:D thinking we might miss the traffic if we travel down on a sunday?! im quite excited to get away for a few days (even more so as have 2 weeks off work!:p)

I am being quite naughty this week. This is my confession.
We are going on our jollies at the end of the week, and i am now spending the £400 i earnt a while ago doing training. This is the naughty bit as really i should of put the money towards the debts ages ago. we have bought a dvd player for the back of the car seats to keep the kids entertained on the journey (£100 from ebay, best possible price for brand new ones), i have bought some new clothes and a new pair of boots so i look as though someone owns me and not just picked me up from the street (£100 on myself and feeling good in them but incredibily guilty) and will be buying the boys a ready bed in a character of their choice to sleep on whilst we are there.
The rest will go towards servicing the family car to keep the lifetime warrinty going and maybe transfer a little to the debts to make me feel better.
Will have a bit of extra money coming in in august and sept with the cake orders so will def put that towards the debts.
Have reached £30 on one of my scratcheez so will withdraw that and put that to the cc.
Thats it money wise for the moment, starting to work through the stuff for car booting ready for when we come back. I am struggling to price things though as want them to be cheap enough for people to think its a bargain but want to make a tidy profit. Dont think i am cut out to be a buisness woman really................................lol!December 2018: £20,850.24. Now: £18,333.02 Total paid in 2019: £2517.22

Don't feel too guilty rags, you have to treat yourself occasionally and besides, our original plans for our money don't always end up doing what we thought!
You have already planned that you will use the money from your cakes to pay the debts, and as long as you pay some money it will be better than nothing...
Remember you also have to live whilst repaying your debts, life is not a rehearsal, it's the REAL thingVSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
Hiya Rags
Just wanted to pop in and second what 'If My Pennies Were Pounds' says - Don't feel bad about treating yourself occasionally, you work super hard (12 hours shifts back to back, plus the boys - I struggle with the 9-5 and one DS!)
Have a fab time on your hols - Wales is fab (am slightly biased I admit) but the weather's a bit pants at the minute.
Take care

Hi everyone, im back from my hols! Had a lovely time and your right prophercy, wales is fab. Both me and OH didnt want to come home.
I have some good news though..................................................
MY FELLA HAS PROPOSED!
So now i have yet another reason to try and clear my debts, no way can i save money for the wedding untill the bulk of it has gone.
Have spent the past two days decorating, my arms are so sore. Have done ds2's and the bathroom so far and will be starting ds1's room today. He is still in wales having an extra week so we are doing his room as a suprise.
This mornings plan is lots ofand
if the weather holds out. Really couldnt face doing the holiday clothes and decorate, and if im honest, didnt really want to unpack as that means the holiday is def over.
Money isnt too bad, seem to be getting to the same point in the overdraft every month which is good as not going over. Renewed my tax credits (what an unhelpful person i got, any one would of thought i was putting him out by renewing it!:rotfl:) and have a feeling i will be getting less as worked over my estimate last year with all the overtime i got at the beginning. This means i may have to redo my SOA and start rejigging as the numbers wont add up.
Have three cakes in the next two weeks so that should bring me some extra income, all to go towards the debts. Dont think i will have the cc and mil paid off by christmas like i wanted but gonna try and clear the cc.
Ooops, post turned out longer than i thought, off for awhilst ds2 is quiet.

Wow rags, congratulations :j:j:j
I'm well jealous! :rotfl: Hopefully I can post something similar soon...not holding my breath though!
Really happy for you! I take it you didn't have any idea it was coming? Give us details, how did he ask, have you got a ring yet...VSP - £14.76 | Saving for a Deposit0 -
I had no idea! it was so romantic, he asked me on top of a cliff looking out over the sea. He already had the ring, and the ironic thing was he had saved up for the ring for months. All the tenners he had been getting out of the atms and telling me it was for food and coffee (and letting me nag about it for months) was for the ring!
Well also pleased to say i have another cake order for october so averaging one cake a month so far. This one will be easy as its just a plain white cake with ribbon on it for a mates wedding. any one know where i can find any info on getting my kitchen inspected? think im gonna have to do it, least then i can advertise.:DDecember 2018: £20,850.24.
