  • Howdy everyone! well its monday morning again...............i hate mondays!!!!

The card we got is 0% with a 1.9% fee so very happy with that, just waiting now for the card to come and the balance to transfer. Have the money here from my cakes but pay it towards the new card, some how feels better knowing that it will actually come off the balance with no interest to pay.

Had two christenings yesterday and feeling it today (even though i was on soft drinks) really didnt want to get up for work today, but needs must. Did get a lot of interest in my cakes, spesh my handy manny/disney cake. Have got a cake order for a birthday from it so far.......................

Hoping my manager is in today so i can see again about going full time, if not then i dont know what to do. do i then look for another job that will give me the hours??? cant really rely on cake orders to top my wage up every month.

Right, cant put off getting ready for work any longer, will take my coffee with me in the hope it wakes me up.
Hope you all had a good weekend?

  • What a rubbish day i have had at work. I hate mondays to start with as have all the jobs from over the weekend to do but today everyone was either poorly, confused or needing the loo every 5 mins!

On the plus side i talked to my manager and she has finally agreed to let me go back full time!:j:j cant change my contracted hours yet till the pregnant nurse goes on maternity leave as will make her overstaffed in hours but said she will give me full time hours till then anyways as have a nurse off sick which looks like it could be long term. Its only an extra 2 days a month so the boys shouldnt notice that much of a difference but my bank account will. Means now i can still overpay (prob by a little more every month now) and still be well within budget.

See, one step forward, two steps back then back again!!! never a simple road this debt busting.

Cant believe i never used to have any money left when i was working full time with just ds1! what did i do with it all??? i feel like i am rich at the mo!!!:rotfl:

  • Morning everyone, day off for me today!!!!! (but back tomorrow booo)

I seem to have ground to halt on the money front, cant do much till the new cc comes through as dont want to pay off any more on the hbos cc as will only cover the interset on it anyways. Gonna hoave a look at the challenges i have set myself as its a bit demotivating knowing i wont have the cc and mil payed off by xmas like i hoped.

Checked the banking online and am pleased to report OH is sticking to only spending his pocket money. Done my free scratcheez, will be withdrawing the £30 i have on there again when the new cc comes through.

Have been organised this year and have got ds1's school uniform. Was going to wait till they reduced it after school started but when i looked his pants all had holes in the knees! Might still have a look after sept and get next years. Ds2 will start nursery next sept so might be super organised and get him some stuff in the sale..................there is usually loads of age 3-4 stuff left over.

Well both boys have suddenly had a growth spurt and are growing out of their clothes fast! knew ds1 was due as not seemed to grow for a while and ds2 the same. Just means my clothes fund will be hit hard buying for the two of them. Had managed to build up a good amount in there so should cover them. Ds2 wont be so bad as have a bag of bits handed down, just needs a few jumpers. Have sorted through all the clothes i kept from ds1 and so he has plenty for when he turns 3 and above! If i had known i would have another boy down the line i wouldnt have sold ds1's earlier stuff on ebay!

Ds2 is 2 next week so looking for ideas for pressies. So far getting them both a remote control car (the boys each get a pressie on the others birthdays so there is no jealousy/tantrums/feeling left out. my mum and dad did it for me and my bro and it worked well) and ds2 a handy manny talking tool box. Looking at some other small bits like books etc.

right, kids ingrossed in the tv (imagination movers is coming on) so gonna try and get some jobs done around the house.

  • Well thats downstairs and the bathroom cleaned, its raining here but got all windows open, love the smell of cleaning stuff mixed with fresh air.

Have a massive pile of ironing that can wait till later and will strip the beds on fri when hopefully the weather will be nicer and can get them out on the line.

My tumble dryer is still playing up and thinks its funny to trip my electric off half way through its drying cycle...........AGAIN!!!!!!! knew i should of bought a new one last time. Have money from my cakes and car boot..................... will talk with OH and see what he thinks. ooh, wonder if i can find a code for a discount...............

  • ARGHHHHHHHH!!!! I hate thunder and i hate lightning!!!!!! Please go away.........

Anyway, me and the OH have decided we are going to get married in may 2012.:D We will still have debt but hopefully only the loans and sofa left. If we left it any longer, we will both be well into our 30's and we both said we didnt want that.

So my dfw dream will have to wait a little while, unless there is a way to pay off my debt and save enough for a wedding?? Gonna do the wedding as cheap as we can really, figured we will have about £5-6k saved in just over a year once the cc and mil are payed off. Gonna open a savers account so can get a nice bit of interest. MY nan (bless her heart) has sent me £20 in a card so thats the wedding fund started!:j

Am back on the eating healthy/trying to shrink my tummy as recently lots of people have been asking me if im pregnant!?!?!?!?! (and no, im not) taking that as a sign i need to get rid of my baby belly once and for all. Clearing out under the stairs later as my mum has said i can have her treadmil and other equipment she has bought but never used (can see where i get my money sense from!:o) saves me having to buy it!

so, my new plan is to now pay off the cc and mil as soon as possible, that way i can save a good amount and if there is any left over (which i hope there will be as really cant justify spending a huge amount on a day) that will go towards the debts.

anyone out there any tips for paying off debts and saving or a wedding then?!?!?!?! can it be done?!?!?!?!
