  • Not sure how but we are right back to where we started with the overdraft!!:mad::mad: Tetering close to the overdraft limit, really annoyed seen as not so long ago i transfered it to stop the charges.

So now looking into setting up mini accounts also to try and do the piggybanking thing where the money is transfered into the mini accounts and thats all i have to spend on that catagory. Has worked so far for clothes, xmas etc. Just need to know how to set up the mini accounts so i dont end up with hundreds of savings accounts. Will transfer money into current account when needed so we still only need to carry one card around.

    damn and blast!!!!

Mini accounts sound good! We have 2 at the mo one for bills and one for personal spending (not that we ever have much lol) I also have a little online emergency account which I pay £20 into per month which means if we need something urgently - we have a little safety net - we only at £200 in there at the mo but still it is something.
    Have a nice sunday x

  • Right, have picked my toys up i threw out the pram in my last post and shoooed away the large black cloud that was over me for most of last week. New week, new outlook and fresh determination.

Back to meal planning/shopping list. OH had to do the shopping as i was working all weekend but it actually came in budget. Have lots of yummy meals planned, tonight is roast chicken with garlic potatoes. Chicken roasting as we speak making my house smell really homely. Thinking of trying the boys out with puddings and give them less main meal as they never seem to finish the plate. Its as if they get bored of eatinhg it (they are both "pickers" and like lots of little bits). Did a cheats chocolate pud the other night (tin of custard just going out of date i found in the cupboard and added melted chocolate and left in the fridge to set. Was yummy!) and with a little less main both boys ate well that night. Already have things like rice pud, fruit cocktail etc in the cupboard.

OH has been told to stick to his tenner. He has been doing well with it but every now and again he would slip up and spend in the garages, mainly when he couldnt be bothered to do some food to take. He actually dusted off his flask this morning and took some coffee with him!

And i have promised to riegn in my spending mid week when me and my mum get together. I always seem to lose the "i cant afford things" part of my brain and think, ooooh, thats nice, i need one of those! Its mainly bits for the house or food but it all adds up. Need to stop buying things for the kids aswell!

So all in all, think we are back on track a little. Not got round to figuring out how to have loads of little accounts yet. Had a look on the banks website and couldnt see any info. Might make an appointment to see someone in branch next week to sort it. (And no they cant sell me a loan to consolidate, all my rates are lower than their loan rates!!!!!!! just want lots of little accounts please!!)

Planning on doing some baking later as nice goodies for lunch boxes were not added to the shopping list as really puts the price up. Going to have a look on approved foods as well to see what i can get cheap. Also going to have a look at the lunch box threads on old style borad to get some ideas do ds1 might actually eat something.

whoo hoo, its good to be back. :D

Meal planning still steaming ahead, dinner last night was a success (new recipe i had found) and tonights shepards pie is all done ready to go in the oven. Found i didnt have as much time to sit down last night but its all worth it.
