  • I already said on FB but happy birthday chick xxxxx
  • Thanks for the birthday wishes! I had a great day, took the kids to the local zoo as it is now free entry!! was a better experience than in the summer as the animals such as the giraffes were in there enclosures instead of the fields so got to get really close to them. They are ds2's favourite animal so his face was a picture! They have had a rare breed of tiger cub born there recently (which we are guessing why its free) and it was sooo cute, got to see it being fed. Ds1 has decided he wants one!

Still keeping up with the meal planning, the only thing was the shopping cost a bit more this week as i had used up all the bits and bobs last week. Ds1 seems to be eating a little more now i am trying to do the meals from scratch. Its chicken pie with chips and gravy tonight. Shepards pie tomorrow which will make today as working tomorrow, the pack of mince is bigger than usual so gonna try and make it do two so one can go in the freezer.

Not much going on with the debts, paid the deposit on the hotel so only really able to pay small bits off. Have a few small cake orders which will help and OH is owed just over £100 from working the other weekend so that will go towards the cc. Dont think i will manage to pay £10k off though...............

  • Hello!

Well i am still plodding along this month with money. Still doing my meal plans and shopping lists, but again spent way over this week as we both needed razor blades. Anyone else noted if they buy lots of fruit and veg rather than carp their shopping bill is higher???

There seems to be a lot going on for free at the moment, last week it was the zoo, this week and next i have got ds1 doing FREE swimming lessons. Its for people that are training to become instructors but am getting him proper swimming lessons for his birthday so will be a god chance to see if he listens and behaves before getting him them.

The mil will be moving in at some point this week or next. Helps us a little as can more or less write off the £600 we owe her. Gonna ask for £200 a month as she wants to pay so for the first 3 months we will give it back to her to clear our debts. It then gives us another £200 a month coming in to go towards the cc then the wedding fund. Not sure how long she will be staying with us, prob untill the council pull their fingers out and gives her a flat. We know of several that are empty but told they have to have a few properties spare for imigrants etc that need housing if they come here:mad:  wont rant but so unfair as my mill has lived in this town all her life and yet they would rather see her homeless than have turn away an imigrant etc!!!!!!!

Got a nice week at work this week, only doing tues, sat and sun so it will feel like im not really there instead of feeling like i live there. Also impressed as have got xmas day and all of new year off!!! was getting me down a little (well alot actually) that i might have had to work xmas day as we still have to do the 12 hour shift meaning i wouldnt of got to see my boys on xmas day. I would rather work all of new year as we dont do anything and spend xmas with my boys.

need to look into seeing which gas and electric supplier is cheapest now they are all hiking up their prices.

  • Glad you have christmas off. Would have been horrible for you to have worked!!
Thats bad they keep flats empty when there are people who need them!! I hope they find her somewhere nice. Good to help with the debt though :)
The swimming lessons sound good - I hope he likes them :)

  • Feeling like a horrible daughter in law at the moment but starting to resent that my mil is moving in. Im not being told any details, things, dates times etc keeps changing and of cousre i am the last to know......................had to rush ds2 into ds1's room as they (mil, OH and dil) decided to move her bed in tonight. ds2 not very well so the worst timing to do it and im feeling really unsettled and disrupted. All the negatives i have been pushing to the back of my mind trying to be supportive keep coming back, like coming home to find my house full as my sil has decided to visit with her brood of 4, or will her best mate come up to visit all the time (i dont like her) and will i not feel comfortable in my own house????

I know i will prob look back on this and think how stupid but i need to get all this ramble out of my head. OH wont listen and says im being silly (i know, blood is thicker than water) and it will all be ok. Nothing changes for him as its his mum, he has lived with her before and is used to a woman running the house. (:rotfl:)

i just feel left out of the loop and in no control over what is happening in my own house. my god, IM A CONTROL FREAK!!!!!!!!!!

Would it be different if it was my mum moving in???????

  • Ahh bless you, i would be feeling exactly the same and couldn't think of nething worse happening tbh. Hopefully it wont be for to long, you will maybe have to have a little kind chat if things do go the way you fear - you cannot live in ur own home if your feeling like that..... but i hope the mil is going to be just fine in ur house and you all get along great big hugs xxx I take my hat off to you xx
