Hi! It wasn't straight A*s but my son won't be studying in Kingston (sorry Sunhil), he got into his first choice, PORTSMOUTH! Studying Politics.
I'm really pleased.
Maybe IRD Homes would consider opening an office there?"If you think it's expensive to hire a professional to do the job, wait until you hire an amateur." -- Red Adair0 -

Here we go, some more substantive criticism of the [STRIKE]swines[/STRIKE] reputable company. Apparently the Police are aware of them.
The most recent reply is very enlightening.0 -
Can I please remind all of our avid posters to this thread that for the benefit of doubt we are obligued to ensure that we only talk parise about:
Mr S Dhown
IRD Homes
IRD Lettings
SD Investments (a former legal name for the operation)
Richard Elby
This is to ensure that you will not be required to make a legal retraction on a public forum facing so much humiliation that you will never be seen again (like our OP) (maybe Mr Dhown also legally required our OP to never post on here again?) and that of course will put everything right in a legal context.
We are not allowed to point out, like other public forums have here that the contracts presented are largely questionable and accomodation liable to a Health & Safety inspection; nor are we allowed to say anything other than Mr Dhown and IRD Homes are the pinnicle of student lettings.
I hope this clarifies any points that Mr Dhown has about what we think of him; similarly IRD Homes/Lettings who have property between them in the Kingston, Isleworth, Surbiton, Edinburgh, Cardiff, Glasgow and other selected areas.Signaller, author, father, carer.0 -

I've quoted that reply [STRIKE]as a shameless bump[/STRIKE] for information purposes.First I want to start by saying Thank You to the people who have taken time to write about and expose these thugs for landlords.
The conditions in the buildings are getting worse and worse.
1. Some of the handrails in the staircase are missing (broken off) and pose a serious injury threat.
2. The carpets are completely ripped off the floor in some areas and dumped in one of the elevator corridors.
3. Their attempt to secure the entrance door's window was by SUPERGLUING some metal bars to the OUTSIDE of the door!! The locks are however still broken and anyone can still enter the building!
4. There is a severe water damage and dampness that is in contact with the electrical cabin of the building.
5. None of the electrical nor water supply cabins are secured/locked.
6. Homeless people are still sleeping and taking drugs in the elevator corridors. Also, still use the electrical cabins to sleep.
7. The mail boxes are still broken and anyone can access the mail at any time (located on ground floor).
8. All balconies are nesting/resting haven for pigeons and therefore as a result the balcony floors are packet with bird ****.
I can seriously mention atleast 10 more points but I think you get my drift. Rents are high and there is no maintenance to show for it.
Everytime something breakes in the flat (boiler/hob/fridge etc) it takes these so called landlords weeks to respond. One particular incident was when the boiler broke down during december month. The office never answered or replied to call and messages. Instead they had appointed a rouge trader for a plumber as emergency contact (Dan). It took him 5 WEEKS to fix the bloody thing! The simplicity of the problem could have been solved by a 12 year old.
In the event that they surprisingly answer their phone they sound very aggrevated and simply do not want to hear or bother about our problems. They always end up threatning with issuing eviction notice and hang up the phone.
They rely on students being ignorant or too lazy to do something about their way of operation and abuse every single trick in the book.
The people working in this company, IRD Homes or SD Investments, never send anything in writing, to cover their back. Some of the names that You should be familiar with are: Mr Dhown, Mrs Dhown, Mr Elby, Patricia (Pat), Karolina and of course Jeremy. There is an elderly man (with one foot in his grave) that sometimes visits the buildings to probably collect money of someone, he claims that he doesnt work in the company and doesnt deal with anything and yet he has on several occasions informed me of the "plans" he has for renovating the buildings. He is the one called Mr Dhown. The other thug is Mr Elby, younger and even more arrogant. On occasion he roles up in his silver Porche and pretends to be God by pulling his pants close to his chest. Karolina and Patricia are the secretaries that have more attitude than any living organism on earth. There is however one other lady who I presume is Mrs Dhown that also works in this office, she is the one that always threatens with evictions and has a very foul mouth. Finally but worse of all is the estate agent JEREMY (remember this name), he is the biggest liar and thief you'll ever meet. This guy owns this One man estate agency and will bend over backwards to get his commission.
Anyone who reads this and still livs in these buildings and have experinced what I and others have mentioned than please don't be quiet about it. Report them to the police, write about them in blogs and get Health Agencies on them. The Police are well aware of the conditions in these buildings and welcome any new complaints in order to get these so called Landlords.
Again Thank You people who have taken time to write and expose these rouge traders.
I wonder if Sunil Dhown is happy with all this publicity. He should be, money cannot buy it.0 -
I reckon he should hire us all as his marketting executives. I usually charge £45 an hour, but for him I will do it for £35Signaller, author, father, carer.0
