I did a soft !!!!!! shoot in my earlier years for a bit of fun,

Who saw "be kind rewind" and is thinking that would be a good route about now?

Not all lies are equal. You need to learn to pick your battles and only get upset about things worth being upset over! From reading through the entire thread, I think your first reaction, OP, is to assume the worst, panic and then get yourself worked yourself up.

Sometimes you need to accept that whilst you know you're being told a white lie, it doesn't matter. Other times, you need to take a leap of faith. Having to prove yourself over and over again when you haven't done anything wrong is tiresome and you should acknowledge this to your OH if you haven't already.

I hope the chat tonight goes well. Things obviously aren't quite right now, but that doesn't mean you can't fix them. The two of you are a team now - this trust issue is all in your head, but if you tell him that, he can stand by you whilst you try to deal with it. If there are some tears or tantrums along the way, that's just par for the course.

He's late back again, has anyone got any advice? I really dont think he'll come back now this has never happened before

I thought you weren't going to jump to conclusions?

I think you have loads of issues to sort out, but will you just try and give him some flipping leeway?

You're supposed to be married, not at war. You need to agree a way forward and loosen the leash a bit.

It either went very well or very badly.
She was leaving thanks for posters two hours after he got home, so the talking must be over.

For goodness sake give her a break, she has admitted she got it wrong, she has apologised to Oh and on here, so stop going on at her.:)

For what its worth LM, I can see and understand why you jumped to conclusions, as his 'truth' track record isnt very reliable, and Oh has got to understand that he cant expect you to believe him all the time because of him being a bit of a compulsive liar in the past.
He only has himself to blame, 'boy cry wolf comes to mind', so when he stops telling lies, then you will believe him.

Also, if he does leave you over this like you think he is going to, then there is more going on with him, as you could have left him over his lies in the past, but you didnt, you stuck by him, so he has to man up, and stop telling lies, then and only then you can believe him.

He lied about looking at !!!!!!! That hardly makes him a "compulsive liar"!
Is OP had left him over that, then there is something wrong with HER, not him! You need to get some perspective here. Poor bloke has been accused of lying when he wasn't, for no reason other than his wife doesn't trust him because he lied a couple of times about looking at !!!!!!...Jeeez! Let's hang him by the nuts and flog him in the village green! What an awful, despicable guy!

No wonder he's fuming, I would be too!

I think some people are going way over the top here. He lied a while ago about looking at !!!!!!, which frankly seems a small white lie in the grand scheme of things. Im sure most people have lied to their partner about a minor thing at one point or another. I don't really think it's fair to brand them untrustworthy and therefore see it as right to question them for years to come. The OP is treating it like he cheated on her or something.

But he HASNT lied..............and look at how he has been treated...Sorry but I think the OP is the one with the issues...as soon as she started this thread she had him as a liar...I think she was wanting him to be so she could give him a hard time, which is what she did over the !!!!!!.....I think the things she has said about him in this thread is a million percent worse than his lies..I think they both need to grow up and realise that marriage is for grown ups.....which neither of them are....think they are both at the doctor and nurses stage

Wow I feel for the OP's OH on this one!

36 minutes past his due time....shock horror!
The Googlewhacker referance is to Dave Gorman and not to my opinion of the search engine!

If I give you advice it is only a view and always always take professional advice before acting!!!

4 people on the ignore list....Bliss!
