    Hi Guys!

    I need some advice/help on something but its very embarrassing. I had an accident last night on the sofa...luckily it only effected 1 cushion, but how do I get the smell out? I have used Zoflora and have now put on baking soda over the area. I just burst into tears as I couldnt even get up and OH/DD had to help me get into the shower. I feel so low this morning and annoyed at myself......I'm 35 !!!!!!.....and I cant control my body.

    Morning everyone :hello:

    Been MIA due to connection which is slow and unreliable to say the least!

    Glad you are getting some good weather over there, hotting up here a little, just doing a blitz on the spare room as we have a friend arriving on Thursday for a week. WM on with towels and lights, and then bedding to go on, will wash my curtains and nets too and may leave the colours for tomorrow. Already have some ironing and need to attack that at some cool time:eek:. Maybe have to shut doors and windos and put the AC on to manage that.

    The LC weight loss still on going but as RR said, a little boring, but at least the weight is going. A little harder out here as nothing much about to cheat with, you have to do everything from scatch. Breakfasts being the hardest as don't always want a big one. Walking is early morning or late evening, but doing at least half an hour in the pool each day.

    DS & GF got back OK Saturday. He is back at work today, don't think it will go down too well.

    Diva, Pen-pin, Jayward, Lowsey and all not 100% :grouphug:

    HI again

    I have had a problem and decided to tackle it today. My electricity is very high, so just checked consumption on washer, dryer, dishwasher and got the following figures.

    Washer.....9p a wash , mostly use 40 quickwash which takes an hour.
    Dishwasher ....25p a load
    Tumble dryer...42p a load:eek:

    Off to get someone on electricty board to double check my figures lol

    Doe

    Ok got the correct figures now

    WM 8p
    DW 17.46p
    TD 37.83p

    I would add these are only for my particular machine, in an average week I may use all DW 7 times and then WM and TD 10 times so

    7x17.45=£2.96
    10x8=£0.80
    10x37.83=£3.73

    So just for these cost £7.45. OK could maybe half that.

    The thing taht bugs me and not sure if your house is the same, watched son yesterday take clean glass form cupboard, take a sip of water and I mean a sip and put it in DW :eek: If that was me I would rinse it out and dry it and put it back in cupboard , am I wrong ? the majority of my DW is filled with glasses and cups. I also after haveing teas wash cup by hand and leave it on side to use again, does hubby NOOOOOOOOOOOO he takes one from cupboard each time and puts dirty oen in DW.

    Last winter when I had hot water all the time I took fuse form DW and make everyone wash dishes by hand lol Worked great.

    I ahve not even got my washing on yet, rain has started lol Cold ahve had it washed and dried if I had not started looking at this lol Think I will go get breakfast.

    Morning All

    Lovely day again but we really need some rain soon for the garden and so we don't get a hosepipe ban (Bugs me when I pay over £600 a year in water rates :mad: )

    Been over to our trade freezer shop this morning and filled the freezers with meat.
    4 packs smoked bacon chops,
    2 bags of 20 chicken satay,
    2 joints beef,
    3 bags chargrilled chicken fillets,
    2 packs of 10 all beef beefburgers,
    2 packs pork loin chops,
    6 packs bacon rashers,
    2 bags mince,
    a bag of smoked haddock
    a big bag of tiger prawns

    All fo £60 that will last us a good 6 - 8 weeks :) so that is equivalent to approx £8 a week for meat which is not too bad plus I already have all the veg I need in the freezer and I am making some low carb ice cream this afternoon yum - think I will make strawberry today.
    The best low carb ice lollies that I have made so far are the iron brew ones - just get a lolly mould (got mine from Ikea for 49p :D) fill with diet iron brew and put them in the freezer just a trace of carb so you can even have them on induction

    MrsMH Yuck maggots I clean my bin with boiling water and jeyes fluid and that usually keeps them at bay - I think we should have weekly collections in the summer not fortnightly it just allows the nasties to breed.

    ((((((((((HUGS)))))))))) especially to jayward, Diva, Penpin and anyone else in need x x

    Well I am off to do a bit more housework :(
    BFN x
    Blessed are the cracked for they are the ones that let in the light

    We have a mug each identified, pressies for our 25WA, 13 years ago, and rinse out between cuppas, then DW at the end of the day.

    Maybe claim glasses are getting damaged in the DW so they have to be washed by hand, by son each night!

    thanks for the ideas DG, just really bugs me. Another bug of mine is why an I the only person who fills the toilet roll bag in bathroom ? It hold 12 rolls on back of door and does anyone else fill it apart from me ? no !!! I did not do it last week and someone almost got caught short lol Of course I made sure I had enough when I went to bathroom lol

    Sorry just in a moany mood today, Went to sons room to turn his lappy off as I just knew it was left on adn his room is a tip !!!! He is not a child, he is 21 :mad: I am just waiting til it gets to the point I cannot stand it and then it is " mums cleaning time" which last time involved him coming home to bed standing on it's side in middle of the room and hoover blocking the door, he was not amused lol

    Doelani - my DSs room sounds just like your DSs:D a tip. He's now finished college and needs to start job-hunting. I've been guilty of doing all the housework and letting him get away with doing zilch but its just about to stop:D I've dragged him out of bed(12.15:mad:) and as soon as he's eaten he's off upstairs to transform his tip. The vaccum, polish and rubbish bag is outside his door.
    I've told him if he doesn't get a job he can at least learn to look after himself and the house properly while he looks for one.Watch this space:D. Its my own fault I know - I just hope its not too late to teach him(he's 18 next weekend)

    PP - (((hugs))) sounds like you're doing all the right things - try and avoid too many cleaners. Where I work we've been told that good old fashioned detergent and water will clean most things. I find Napisan is very good too.

    At the moment we have an odour problem here too:eek: DSs feet are absolutely vile smelling - he washes them daily etc but to no avail. I'm off to get some teatree oil later to put in the foot spa to see if that helps.

    back later, take care x
    Do what you love :happyhear
