I tried to apply last night and the decision page loaded for about 10 minutes and then went blank. I hope it hasn't shown as a search on my credit file, I'll be ringing them later to try and apply again!

Some browsers get upset with the Halifax website - try Internet Explorer.

Do you think the search will show? Because it'll probably affect my second attempt at applying.

Guys, i'm not just saying this but the best way to apply is by calling up the telephone banking line for banking / sales as they can see if your guaranteed a credit card or not and see if you will be likely to be accepted.

I know telephone takes around 10-15 minutes but it's 100% more worth it.

I got declined a loan from Sainsbury's but had one guaranteed with them, when i rang up, so it's always something to bare in mind!

    Cool!

The rules are you have to close your one account before being able to get the new clarity card.

However when applying online, they don't realise you already have the one card you see.

    Lucky man haha! :j

Hope they do not catch on and send me a card...fingers crossed ;)

I spoke to operations today and there is currently a loop-hole when getting the clarity card online if you have the one card and don't have to cancel it first!

Make sure you don't ring up anytime soon haha!

    Good luck!

Just checked Experian, it's showing TWICE from last night's application!

One of them is probably an ID check and so will not be visible to anyone but yourself and Experian.
