How long did it take to get everything throu the card/pin etc.. from applying.
My wife applied week and half ago and has till not heard anything.
Also what internet rate did they put u one?0 -
MY card 'transactions' has failed to show any £5 cashback whereas my wife's one HAS. So I have queried it with CS & they say that it SHOULD be showing on mine - they are investigating. Therefore the word is -- keep an eye on it !Expect the worst & hope for the best...0

The need for card activation is based on post-code.billykeats wrote: »We received our cards today and nowhere does it say we have to activate them either. Hope this isn't going to be a problem when we go to use them
Not all cards require activation.0 -

Not all cards require activation.
I had no idea this was the case (probably an "all swans are white" situation with me), what's the reasoning behind the postcode lottery then?If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -

(Some posties are more bent than others).
Ahh, interesting, interception risk by post code analysis, bit of a damning of the postal service though. If you think of it as 'us' verses 'them', then it's probably your side that are the villains.0 -
I applied last night, I got accepted on the 17.9% not the 12.9%. I was gutted as i have an Amex card, had credit cards before with Halifax always been offered best rate. Been a customer of halifax's for over 10 years never been overdrawn never missed a payment. Regular money going in each month and always has.0

I think Halifax must have an interesting scorecard on this card when arriving at the rate. I got the 17.9% rate and also have a spotless credit file, which means the card will only be used to clock up the £5 a month rather than for foreign use. Although its for obvious reasons its a shame we never get a hint as to what their scorecard didn't like.I applied last night, I got accepted on the 17.9% not the 12.9%.
