I think you have to apply for a new one. You could always call them up and ask.

    Hi,

Anyone know if its possible to upgrade One card to Clarity? My partner has both Halifax & BOS.

    MS

According to post #32 in this thread, Halifax were saying it would be possible to change your current Halifax cc to a Clarity one by mid-August - so probably worth phoning them now to find out.

I am at a loss as to why on Wednesday that a payment from Halifax Reward Account cannot be made towards the Clarity card for Thursday. The first available date I get is Friday. What is going on ?! Why will they not accept my attempt to make a payment for tomorrow ? Has anyone tried the recently sold RBS WorldPay ? If it takes three days then will it be just as useless ?

    ***Edit***
If the money hits the account on the available date then I will be happy. But it could have been better explained if this is even the case.
    ***Edit***

The ethos behind faster payments is being undermined if banks provide artificial delays to prevent their customers from moving money instantly between accounts held by the same bank.

My other CC (Egg Money) accepts faster payments in from external
sources. On a different issue I happened to report this card lost on Monday and got a replacement Wednesday. This was an unexpected event as they said up to five working days. Well done Egg.

Would have been handy if you could just do this to begin with. I applied for a Clarity card over a month ago but the process has taken forever! I asked if I could just convert my existing card with the Halifax but they said it was impossible.

I wanted it for a trip to the USA and I'm leaving for on Friday, but I doubt it'll get here in time. Mind you the PIN came today and it now shows on my online banking, so maybe I'll be lucky and it'll arrive tmrw.
  • Halifax/BOS credit cards dont accept faster payments, so it all goes by BACS

Logged on this morning and the £5 reward has been added to my Credit Card. The Balance has gone down by the £5, but the DD amount is still showing as the Statement amount, so it will reduce next months payment not this months.

just wonder if anyone know the timescale from applying this card online to actually receiving the card?

I applied yesteday (Fri) and kind of regretted that as I should have done in branch as it would be quicker to wait for the application form to arrive (that is if I get accepted). I received the 'we will contact you in 10 days' screen. I want to go oversea at the end of Sept (around the 23rd Sept), and really hope I get the card before I go!

Does anyone have a photo of a Halifax Clarity or Clarity Rewards card?

I received mine today and nowhere on the card does it mention Clarity or Reward. I have called Halifax and they have assured me it is the correct card. I just expected Clarity to be stamped on the card.

I have read back this thread and see that others only have it listed on their online account as a "standard Mastercard".

I applied online around 17 August, received the credit agreement on Sat, 21 August and sent it back the same day.

OH's (additional cardholder) card arrived today along with his PIN. My PIN arrived on Wednesday, but the card hasn't arrived yet.

I checked with Halifax and OH's card was sent out on 1 September and mine on 3 September so I expect it to arrive Monday or Tuesday.

So roughly 3 weeks from application to receipt of cards.
