    Hi All,

I can also confirm my Reward Clarity Credit Card is showing as "Standard" on online banking.

Does anyone know if we will get £5 reward?

Can any other customers confirm if there Reward card is showing as Standard?

    Hiya,

My clarity shows as 'Standard Mastercard' so I gave them a call to confirm the system knows it is a clarity card and knows that I have an URCA and thus will pay the reward. They said it did and that everything is fine. :)

I applied online (already have savings and Reward account with Halifax) and received letter today that I've been accepted. No mention of the credit limit and APR 21.9%. For me that's a great improvement because I have Capital One and Vanquis at the moment with around 40% APR which I usually pay off each month, but nevertheless I don't like being stuck in sub-prime territory, nand have been working on getting out of this for some time now.:)

I dont know what the credit limit will be of course but I am assuming this is a firm acceptance, I hope so! I don't think Vanquis allow a balance transfer but Capital One do, but when I applied for the Halifax card I didn't have the details with me. Wondering whether I should phone the Halifax to ask them to add a balance transfer so that I can close down one of the other cards? The Vanquis would be great to get rid of but having said that it must have helped me improve my credit rating.

Vanquis do accept balance transfer payments but Halifax may need to put it through as a "Manual transfer". It can be done, just persevere with them until you find someone at their call center who knows how to do manual transfers :o

Just achieved £302+ on my card; now we're working on OH's card - £112+ so far. After which it's back to 1% on EggMoney & Cap1 until next month's spend!
Expect the worst & hope for the best...

I have read through several threads on the Clarity Reward CC now but can't find the answer I am looking for:

Does the £5.00 reward get paid into your current account or does it appear as a deduction from the repayment?

eg if I spend over £310 do I pay off £310 and have £5 show up in my current account OR do I only have to pay off £305?

    Thanks!

It's re credited on to your credit card statement monthly.

yes there are far too many threads on this card, i wish they would moderate them and merge them together. This was the original thread from what I gather.

They gave me a £5700 credit limit but 17.9% interest rate, not sure why as I have a good credit rating (at least with Equifax, haven't checked Experian).

Still no statement yet, I can see my online payment due date is 16th August, so I think the statement will come out in the next 10 days or so.

wlf-I too have a good credit rating but they have given me a small limit.

Well my card has arrived today and I've activated it. When I spoke to an adviser she stated that you only get the £5 cashback if you hold an Ultimate Reward Account and not just a Reward Account. I pointed out that their website doesn't state that. She then was unsure and couldn't give me an answer. The website is clear that you can hold one or the other :-

I've got a BOS Reward Account and I've now added my Clarity Reward Credit Card to my online banking, so I'm hoping it will link the Halifax Reward Credit Card with the BOS Reward Account now so once my monthly spend hits £500 it will kick in the free fivers ? Any thoughts chaps ??
