    That is correct.

You could call Halifax and ask them to reduce your limit stating what you would like it to be. They have to do it there and then :o

Do they search Equifax or Experian when you apply for this card?

Experian, applied for Halifax all in one couple of days ago and was given £4800 credit limit...and that is my second Halifax card since February this year.

I got my blueish/purple Rewards Clarity Card today.

    Points to note:

    - according to Card Services the £5 is paid into your current account

    Regards
    Sunil

I was under the impression that the £5 would be put back onto the credit card account - that's what I was told by them anyway.

Maybe it's worth checking again with Card Services as many people (including me) have been given conflicting advice from different people in the same department. The Halifax website doesn't state which account the £5 cashback reward will be credited to (just "your account").

I will try to ring them tomorrow to clarify.

How long does it take for the card and pin to arrive (in people's experience?).

I already have a reward account and am interested in this card but I'm going abroad on Friday 6th August, so I don't want to apply if it is going to arrive after I've left. Maybe I'll be better waiting till I get back?

You will get a prompt just after the log-in screen regarding the new credit-card account. Just choose to display it and it'll be listed alongside your existing accounts.
