I have left paperbacks on trains and magazines in cafes, far better than just recycling them. Also a good idea to collect a pile of mags in readiness for the next trip to the doctors/dentists/clinic/hopital visit. I can never understand why these places have such piles of mouldering old mags, often ten years out of date!

There is a site called Bookcrossing, where you can track books that you have left places.

It all sounds really confusing.
What magazines shall I buy for coupons?
Any good tip out there?0 -

I've heard of this website but not come across it before. Sounds brilliant but I got a bit bogged down on the label page.
There is a free paperback from Woolworths, someone posted a link up on the freebies page, that would be a good one to start with.
I dont know about books outlasting us now. The girl I know who works for Ottakers said they use poor quality glue and binding now and paperbacks have only have a shelf life of maybe five to ten years at the most

In this week's First magazine (11-17 Oct), which costs 60 pence, there are 2 x 60 pence coupons on page 42 for future issues of First, valid from 18 to 31st October.
So a good read, and a profit of 60p!0 -

It's a shame you've missed October Good Housekeeping, but you could get:
November's Prima (in cellophane)
Asda Magazine Oct (in cellophane) free
Sainsbury mag Nov (in cellophane)
First magazine, as posted above
See back on this thread a few pages, don't start with page one as this is out-of date, just work your way back page by page.
Then make sure you are checking it regularly, along with the 'products with coupons' thread and the Daily newspaper coupons thread EVERY day (all on this forum, go back a few pages if you can't locate them at first).

I have just changed my post no 238 about Woman's Own magazine, to add that the same coupon for 50p off Ducolease is also on p62 of Woman.
Woman costs 85p so OK if you buy it anyway.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).
