Nor do I put my details on them.

I have used loads of £1 off Coast coupons and I am now trying to save my £1.99 ones till I do some Christmas shops. My local stores take 3 or 5 coupons per shop, and some cashiers don't insist that they have to be all different.

I have only once been told 'shouldn't you put your details on it?' and I said confidently, 'no, that's only if you want to be contacted by for future offers and I don't'. This was accepted as truth immediately, and makes sense as these coupons usually ask for your address and email and then have a tick-box 'offers opt-out' section. So at first glance it looks as though they are only asking for details if you want the 'tick-box' offers, IYSWIM.

If they insisted I would probably make up some details.

As with all coupons, their acceptance purely depends on the time, the store, the sa/supervisor and LUCK. - in my opinion
Re the Sainsburys coupons from their mag. Sometimes Tesco say they only accept the £3 off £30 shop ones, but I have nearly always been able to get the normal 50p off wine etc ones off before they have expired.
It is pure hit and miss. They often get refused, but often are accepted with no problem.
If you get a friendly sa - treat her/him like gold dust. Ask about the family, tell them they are looking well/tired. I will probably send Christmas cards to mine, because they have saved me a FORTUNE by accepting coupons ( hand scanning, and entering the bar-code manually etc). They have tried that extra bit for me.....and it has been really appreciated.:D
Equally I've had ones who won't even accept coupons for items I've actually bought - so treat your friendly check out staff well ;)

Went to my local High Street today and Tony & Guy had their latest magazine out - for free.

In page 39 there is an offer - Free L'oreal Treatment when you have colouring service done. I know - who can afford? But still an offer.

The magazine comes in a celophane and also comes a H&M Magazines - no offers visible but pleasant presentation of the winter collection

very useful please where did you find the mag?

I bought the November Sainsbury's magazine yesterday, costs £1.20.

First of all make sure you pick up the one with the small sample of Green & Black's organic chocolate inside the cellophane. Ok, scoff that and then find:

£1 off Green & Black's miniatures coupon (says Sainsbury but NCH barcode)
£1 off filetti powder/liquid (baby toiletries AFAIK, says Sainsbury but NCH barcode)

Then near the end (sorry didn't see page number and I've already recycled it!) there is the usual page of Sainsbury-specific coupons (usual story, they are not supposed to take these at Tesco but many cashiers will, they do scan) and they total £11.30:

    (ALL marked 'Sainsburys magazine')

£5 off Dr Gillian McKeith's Living Food Energy 165g
£1 off Lotus Freshness Toilet roll 9 pack
£1 off Flavours of World Belgian Chocolate coated fruits
£1 off French Connection Reserve Merlot or Sauvignon Blanc
£1 off Cono Sur Pinot Noir
£1 off Hardys Nottage Hill Chardonnay
50p off Sainsbury's Fresh British chicken Thighs
30p off Richmond skinless 12 Fresh Sausages
30p off Uncle Ben's Cooking Sauces
    20p off Sainsbury's prepacked parsnips

FINALLY, if you are quick and pop in to Sainsbury's over the next few days, on the CS desk there are leaflets for £5 off £15 Tu Clothing, valid till 8th October. Apparently these also scan at Tesco for some reason.......;)

    Many Thanks Coupon-Mad ...

Bought two copies of this mag so far .... but only tried to use the main coupons in Tesco today ... went round twice in order to use more coupons ... Thank You Welsh-Dragon for that pearl of wisdom ...
First lady declined Sainsbury's ones ... she was very new and unsure I think ... but took all Prima bumper crop!
Second time around ... another lady ... looked like an old hand but she happily took three Sainsburys ones ... including the G McKieth £5er ... plus a few more Prima ones .... Total for both £15.35 off £37 shop ...

Would have been happy to buy more Sainsbury's Mag just for the choccy on the front ....

Going back to Sainsburys tonight to get another ... or two! ... oh and also to collect my Tesco Credit Card ... I left it in the little machine ...

Maybe my mind was on other things ....

What a Happy Shopper I am becoming .... :rotfl:

    Hi Little Bill,
I have only bought one copy of the Sainsburys mag so far but am planning another trip there, probably tomorrow when I buy some magazines anyway, might as well get a small shop from Sainsburys while I am there. I found their bagettes are much nicer than Tesco...

The chocolate sample is delish, well worth £1.20 for that plus all the coupons. Glad you have tried the £5 one, I haven't yet, I was wondering if it may flag up as a high-value coupon to the Tesco Cashier and they may decline it. But I will certainly try them.

I must admit what I do is cut the coupons from the Asda, Sainsburys or Somerfield magazines WITHOUT the big coloured logo. In other words, I cut the green bit right off the asda ones, the orange bit off the Sainsburys ones, etc. Normally the Tesco cashiers don't look twice at them!;)

Today the lad at Tesco scanned 3 of my coupons, including the lovely £4.xx mis-scanning Asda one, got a total of over £6 off my shopping and then he handed the coupons back to me!! Thanks very much Mr T! :D

Too much! ... Why not nominate him for Employee of the Month ... :p

PS ... My partner & I are sharing the chocs ... 1 each so far and 1 in the cupboard ... They are lovely ... Is it me ... or does it almost want to make you use the coupon to buy the product ? .... ! ....
