I spotted Practical Fishkeeping (I think it was, I don't buy it lol) has a pack of algae flakes on the front.
One of the cat magazines has a cat food sample on the front as well.
And Practical Poultry (Nov 06) doesn't have anything in it except a competition to win PP Calendar, mug, beanie and car sticker, but you have to buy the mag to win.0 -

Don't run to Asda as there are no magazines to be seen at least in Brum.
Thanks chachiluz, think I would keel over if I tried to run to my local Asda, let alone all the way from here (down South) to Brum.
Just seen a mention on another thread that the October Asda Mag only has a measly 24p coupon in it. Does this mean the other, good coupons are in the Christmas Gift booklet?
Someone please let us all know, if not I plan an Asda trip Monday or Tuesday and will post back here then.PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

Just wanted to check....
Does anybody actually read these mags we buy for the coupons ?
I have just cut the coupons out of another 2 Goodhousekeeping/Coast mags ( I have SERIOUSLY lost count of how many I have bought this month - I usually throw one in my trolley when I'm R&Ring:D ) and the Asda mag ( thanks for the tip re the WKD) and thrown the mags straight in the bin !
I admit I am SssooooOO bad now I don't even think about how good or bad a mag is, except in terms of the freebies and coupons etc it contains.
I wonder if the writers/editors etc think that THEIR work this month must have been really exceptional, and all thier efforts were worthwhile as their sales have sky-rocketed, or do you think they KNOW that a couple of good coupons and a free mascara and it doesn't matter a jot what features are in there ?
Same goes for the newspapers - although buying the Times everyday last week ( in multiples of 3 and 4) also made the sa look at me with new respect for my superior intellect and reading capacity

Hi The Old Bag :hello:
I used to read all of the magazines/newspapers I bought. Unfortunately, I'm very busy at the moment, and although I would love to read something else apart from academic stuff, I simply cannot.
There is a huge pile of magazines on my sofa, I haven't recycled them yet, which means that I still hope I'll be able to read them... one day. Which reminds me that I still haven't read the latest issue of one of my favourite magazines - 'Good Food'. Oh well...'Into every abyss I still bear the blessing of my affirmation' (Friedrich Nietzsche)0 -

You must have missed the (much) earlier post on this.
Octobers GH £3.20 comes in a plastic bag with a copy of Coast mag.
Inside Coast is 2x £1 coupons for Coast
Inside GH is 2x £1.99 coupons for coast, plus a £1 coupon for Dylon
ie in total nearly £7 worth of coupons, for which YOU have paid £3.20
There are still copies on the shelves of my Tesco - or there was last night.
My Tescos NORMALLY take the coupons against all shopping.
Plus there are various free samples, offers and comps etc........if you have the time to actually read the mag !;)0 -
In next month's issue of Company magazine (on sale November 2nd, marked as Dec 06) there is a free warehouse clutch bag.0
