Does anybody actually read these mags we buy for the coupons ?
I have just cut the coupons out of another 2 Goodhousekeeping/Coast mags ( I have SERIOUSLY lost count of how many I have bought this month - I usually throw one in my trolley when I'm R&Ring:D ) and the Asda mag ( thanks for the tip re the WKD) and thrown the mags straight in the bin !
I admit I am SssooooOO bad now I don't even think about how good or bad a mag is, except in terms of the freebies and coupons etc it contains.
I wonder if the writers/editors etc think that THEIR work this month must have been really exceptional, and all thier efforts were worthwhile as their sales have sky-rocketed, or do you think they KNOW that a couple of good coupons and a free mascara and it doesn't matter a jot what features are in there ?
Same goes for the newspapers - although buying the Times everyday last week ( in multiples of 3 and 4) also made the sa look at me with new respect for my superior intellect and reading capacity
God I'm such a mercenary philistine.
Why don't you pass them to an elderly neighbour or the docs surgery seems a shame to waste them! I pass mine to an elderly friend and she says it really brightens up her day!0 -

I have just been to Asda and in all the tills they have a photocopy of the vouchers from the October issue with a warning asking the SA´s to input the correct amount...... I think they have realised now. Manybe you can still do it in the self scans. I don't try the self-scans as last time they refuse all my coupons.0

Should still take a while for Tesco to cotton on though.....and some branches of Tesco are more lax than others!
P.S. to the Old Bag, I found another few copies of GH to buy today (even tho' everywhere else has the Nov issue out now) so I snapped 3 up. Saw another lady pick one copy up and I told her about the coupons, she said thanks so much, I will cut them out!
It's a rubbish mag tho' isn't it, Coast is even worse! Once I've cut out the coupons, they hit the recycling bin faster than I can say R&R!PRIVATE 'PCN'? DON'T PAY BUT DON'T IGNORE IT (except N.Ireland).

I'm really lucky, a local newsagent sells off a month or two old magazines on a stall on the local flea market. So if there are any mags a month or two old which people are desperate for the coupons from pm me and I'll try and get it for you. The market is every thursday.
He normally charges 50p - £1 for the glossies (Good housekeeping, new woman etc) and others depend on how old as to how much he charges.Money, money, money, must be funny....in a rich mans world.

Just for fun I wondered what had been YOUR best mag freebie in the last month? Some of the giveaways are such good quality items these days & are often designer branded like the Betty Jackson bag & Floozie brolly from this month. My own was the Sanctuary Kyphi body butter I got with the Marie-Claire voucher. It was such a fab product & I would not have bought it for £7.95. Really cheered me up as had a bad month health-wise.0

My best mag freebie just has to be the Marie-Claire voucher that I used for a free Sanctuary product (actually i got 2, one for each of my DD stockings!). I used the WHSmith voucher to buy them with and then gave the mags to my DD's to read ( hope they don't read too closely or they'll see i'm a cheapskate!). So double whammy
:D
All this was thanks to posts I read on this thread so.. Thanks Guys:beer:Trying to stay on the wagon with a FlyLady Daily Fix :j:j:j
