OK will add running knickers to the list.

I'm sitting in my lounge surrounded by every bit of my dining room as I'm in the middle of having laminate laid in my diningroom/office/general dumping round. The floor looks fab -far better than the carpet that was in there before but I'm determined not to put anything back there that isn't supposed to be or doesn't have a home. Need to paint the walls too as the new flooring shows up just how dingy the paint is.

Spent a bit of the Tax Credit refund yesterday- a wireless printer (mine has a broken ink slot so only good for scanning-bit of a pain when MSing), new wardrobe for DS's room (his is literally falling apart) and a new hoover-all very useful and functional and the printer is expected to pay for itself (and the other bits) in short order so not too extravagent. I thought £59 for a wireless one was good -until I realised it either lives in DS'sroom or I buy him a wireless adaptor for his PC -either way it means he can print when he wants rather than wait til I've finished work to print out college work which is better.

Well since I've taken over the undie shop I've learned all sorts, but running knickers are new to me too! Sorry about the pay Hypno but good that the lateness of it isn't freaking you out! Have good days all, it's persisting down up here!!! Hopefully that means we can do some stuff Back of House today (it needs it!) X

duchy, I am sure your "new" dining room will look just fabulous! Mine is, I have to say, now one of the clearest spaces in the house. A far cry from earlier diaries when you couldn't even get into the room!

Red, I now refuse to have disasters. They just don't feature in my life any more :D

    Hiya.
Can I just ask, is this the Shred people are using? http://www.amazon.co.uk/Jillian-Michaels-Day-Shred-DVD/dp/B002RNOS2Y/ref=sr_1_1?ie=UTF8&s=dvd&qid=1285234086&sr=8-1

Lots of talk about running as well. I'm really enjoying mine as well. Mostly atm I run on my own as bf's foot is still too bad. Wednesday's I go for a group run which is nice as they push me to run bit faster, but have always been happy running on my own. Like the park runs as well, they really motivate you to go bit faster again. :)

Is there specialist underwear? Surely there must be some with 'wicking' to stop sweat building up. I discovered the benefits of thermals in Finland, you couldn't cope without. So I'd have thought there must be specialist undies for winter runners.

    I'm from Finland!!!! :)

Yes that's the shred DVD - well it's the one I got.

What part of Finland? We only explored the more southerly bits, we were based in Helsinki.

Thanks se. I really wanted to get the £6 amazon voucher for £1 and pay it that way but I got timed out all the time yesterday and then they were gone...:(. Going to buy it anyway.

I mostly lived in Tampere, about 100 miles north from Helsinki, but I've also lived in the capital for half a year and most of my friends still live in that area. What were you doing in Helsinki?

OH was on a project there, so we were there on and off for quite a while.

We visited Tampere for a few weekends and stayed at the Rosendahl. It was really nice by the lake, and we used to walk into town using the lakeside path. We also went to a couple of the national parks just north of there for hiking. One thing we do remember about Tampere is the black pudding, it's far better than the English versions.

Cool! Yes, the black pudding is awesome in Tampere (even if I say so...;)). You stayed in a lovely part of Tampere, that bit is so nice and when I was younger I always thought that hotel was really posh! I've live on that ridge in Pispala for awhile as well.

I'm going to join you fellow Shreders! I've just bought my copy from amazon and hoping to start it in the new month. :) Excited as I'm finally joining what others have been talking about for ages!

I spotted a DVD player in the fitness room, so might have a go at shredding again next week, I need something to do on the running rest days. Depends on if anyones there though, I don't think my attempts at shredding would be a good spectator sport, well it would have comedy value!

I walked the 2.5k jogging trail, just city streets, but would need to do early morning as some of the streets get packed with shoppers and have pavement cafes to dodge around. But I do now know how long it takes me to fast walk 2.5k, so can explore and hopefully find some nicer routes.

Well done on the weight staying the same Hypno. Despite the extra exercise I'm not managing to lose any, but having to eat restaurant meals every night isn't helping. I do think the exercise is probably losing inches, so I look less blubbery which is definitely a good thing, maybe the same is still happening with you Hypno?

Tirlattan I remember the ridge well, the steps upto the top from the lake level definitely showed how fit you were :)
