Hope your finger is alright surfbabe!

I'm not surprised that DS feels aggrieved over lack of work, and hope he gets something sorted at the other place.

  • Ah Hypno. I'm sorry to read about the tough month ahead of you.

Am I right in thinking your salary varies from month to month (just like my income is now going to, to a point....)? If so, that must make it really tough to budget, and also to be "the one" in charge of it all.

But am sure you will use your customary ingenuity to grit your teeth and get through it somehow. Is it just a temporary blip - hope so? And though I haven't (as Red now is) read any of your old school broke diaries (...if only there were time, I would.....) I guess you can look back and think, if you got through that, you can get through this month.....as at least all the basic bills are covered, it's just I guess how you manage the disrectionary spend above that. Not that food is discretionary, but you know what I mean.....

    Thinking of you anyway

Yes, Mrs R, income does vary from month to month - this month is probably the worst I have had for almost 2 years, so I am really feeling it!! But could be worse!

Beanie - DS does wear black trousers, he is almost 15.

Have just got back from an hour's run - was v. tough because it is very hot and also incredibly windy, so was absolutely sapping, but am glad I got out there and did it.

Going to have something to eat next, and a coffee, and then make a plan for the weekend's DIY!

Hope you all have a good evening xxx

So, plan is to do very little tonight. Am shattered on all levels!

Then tomorrow morning the student goes home, so I need to drop him off at 8pm, then back home and start stripping down woodwork in the hall/stairs/landing, getting that all ready to gloss on Sunday.

I think it will take quite a while to do the prepping, so not expecting any paint to make an appearance tomorrow, so it is an all weekend job, but will brighten up the place once it is done.

Am going to the football tomorrow afternoon, and expect it will be spag bol for dinner tomorrow evening or something similar!

Also, will be running again on Sunday morning.

So, not the most exciting of weekends, but it'll do!
