You guys know how fussy I am with Ambers clothes. But Asda have some lovely stuff in just now. I'll be sneaking things in trolley for the next few weeks. We just don't have peacocks.

Exactly the one. Just before baby was born she said that she was going to throw out all the (new) clothes she bought and buy new ones because she no longer liked the ones she had.

I didn't like the stuff they had last year, wasn't my style (and therefore Ambers style) but right now its pretty! Like her purple fur coat :D

Oh and I've had my student loan stuff through. All sorted. But I didn't realise you get it in instalments. Nevermind.

ETA, Yeah she said she would rather buy lots of lovely asda clothing than buy from ebay and I got snooty and said I'd rather buy Next and Monsoon from ebay than buy from asda! lol! And now I'd rather buy the lovely stuff from asda and also tesco (spotted some lovely cardigans) than stuff from ebay because shes older now the stuff is a bit tatty from ebay now.

    *dashes in*

HI ALL. Still no broadband as the engineer doesn't even come to hook up the phone line until 6 September *rolleyes*. There is, however, a totally over-priced BT Openzone hotspot just about reachable from 1 corner of the flat, so I've forked over an extortionate £15 for 5 days' pass out of desperation, mostly because I'm job-hunting (or this is how I rationalise it to myself).

Moving was just as crappy as I imagined, but nothing went wrong so I shouldn't complain too much. Unpacking is a slow, painful process but the majority is actually done...I've been doing it piecemeal as Finn has been extra clingy and there's a new town/area to explore as well :).

New flat is lovely and soooo much bigger, with only one drawback - smaller kitchen! About the half the cupboard space and a smaller freezer (every MSEer's worst nightmare), but I shall just make due as it comes with the bonus of a dishwasher :D.

I made SJ's muffin thingees today except I think I added too much cheese/courgette to the mix as they came out really dense and seemingly undercooked - definitely not cake-like. How many oz of "stuff" should be added to the base?

Any huge news in the past several days?
top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne

would like to win a holiday, please!!

As a matter of interest, how old were little ones before you had them in a bed and without a gate, i.e. theoretically they'd be capable of getting up in the night and running amok? Did anyone have trouble with that? We are unsure about getting babygate or not at the mo.
We've never had a gate upstairs, Chris went into a bed at about 2yrs 3mths IIRC, we mightneed one when Ed is in a bed if we're still here though because we're now in a bed room that involves crossing the stairs to get to, when Chris was first in his we had the room next to him IYSWIM
be careful of closing the door in case he decides to curl up behind it too ;)

MDW - details HERE I couldn't find it before - was searching the wrong thing  [STRIKE]Mum's[/STRIKE] I've got my wellies at the ready :D

EA - ignore that silly cow! We all know she talks crap :p
