MFD - what about these, not balls but they do sink
Ive added you MDW.My_Fathers_Daughter wrote: »If golf balls sink then a golf ball is easy enough
....but I love those MDW!!! Oh but the CLAMS MICHELLE!!!!
You ladies know EVERYTHING!!!
Michelle, I am so sorry to hear about your grandad. That is a beautiful photo, brought tears to my eyes, you should get it printed so A can always see how much he loved her.
Hubby's dad died 15 years ago now, so before DSS was born, but DSS can tell you loads about his grandad - hubby talks about him all the time. Even now he tells Benjamin that his grandad wouldn't like him doing that or grandad used to be really good at this. Keeping the memory alive is very important.
I come from a family where all my grandparents died before I was born and I know very little about any of them because my parents don't often speak of them. I find it very sad.
The clams are great arent they?! And they would be great for teens so its a long term purchase! I think you could justify spending a little more. (Im a rubbish MSEr...
)
My grandmother died before I was born too, but I know lots about her, I think its important to talk about them too. My fave pic I have of her is when she is stood smoking outside the back door, she has a dress on made out of the same material as the curtains!
Now she would be suited on here!
Thanks for the sympathy messages. The funeral is on Friday, its all the way in wales though and Im in Manchester. We dont own a car so I will go on the train with bubs. Its a bit miserable for me at the moment though, the night I went into labour, my closest uncle died. Now that was a difficult few hours.. before the pain took over and I couldnt think of it!
Sorry for being miserable!

ah I was worried that would be your response, Chris was pretty lazy in the cot escaping stakes. It was shortly after his 2nd birthday, I remember I was mid pregancy and we had a few nights hiccup when I was rather more rotund and hubby was away which was hard.Sami, when did you do the toddler bed with Chris, then? I am not sure E is at a stage where 'sending him back to his room' would have any effect at all
I thought of you today when someone offered THIS BOOK on freegle, maybe the library has a copy for you

My boy has got a poorly tummy at the mo, i thought he was doing his usual trick of saying it so he didnt have to eat his tea at first but omg his belly was sooo bloated and rock solid to touch! he's having a lie down in his bedroom at the mo cos its closer to the bathroom lol!
Sami how did christopher get on at nursery today?
x
Aww I glad Jake's perked up since
He LOVED it
Wasn't fazed at all and had all the staff in awe of him within minutes  I just need to get him a bag for his stuff, some wellies and a waterproof coat. It'll be easier to leave a pair of wellies there and seeing what he got up to in the hour we were there I am not sending him in his pumpkin patch coat all the time
Was chatting with the room manager and she said they get some parents that send their LOs in fancy clothes then ask them to not let them play with paint etc, how sad
He's back on thurs for an hour where I'll leave him there, also they charge the lunch fees pro rata so we're actually not paying in full for them because he'll only be there for 1 school year not a calendar year :shhh:0 -
Michelle - MFD has B and 3 step sons
(though 2 are all growed up and have jobs, houses etc)
Sorry to hear about your granddad it is
but at least you have a photo of them together
We make sure to show Chris the photo of him with his Gt Granny before she passed and he talks about her quite often, she is up in heaven looking after a lot of dogs until we get in there :A: 0 -
Ugh it's annoyingly humid and i can't sleep. I'm abandoning my baby tomorrow
as i have to take DS to see Toy Story so Amber is spending a few hours with my best friend. I think she'd have liked it so i feel guilty lol

It sounds like Chris is going to have a wonderful time at nursery, I'm still waiting for my welcome pack for Katie - she starts the 8th September (she misses the Monday as we're in Wales)
Katie never tried escaping either, I moved her as she did so well in a bed when we were on holiday (apart from falling out the first night giving herself a black eye!)
Beenie - don't feel bad DS needs one on one time too. Think of the cuddles you'll get when you come home.Proud to be dealing with my debts
