main reason is its further away and i do like to get as much locally from the butcher and farm, morrisons and asda are next door to each other in the town so i usually head there. LOL about the locals! i had one of the older guys from my old job cuddle me in front of a few village mums, he said the tounges would wag and they certainly have today PMSL! noone around here even knows me so i would love to know whats being said! the joys of village life :D dont think i would really like to be anywhere else though?
Always good to support local businesses if possible. I/we tend to avoid Tesco because of ethics/poor quality, but sometimes it's just convenient being the nearest.

:rotfl:that is indeed village life. Just look at it as you being big news :D If you are happy somewhere, it's best not to rock the boat.

Talking of cuddles, my girls always cuddle me in public, everywhere and it was oh so nice when I finally stumbled down the stairs to be mobbed. I just hope they do the same when i'm old and smelly :rotfl:

Susan, (congrats btw :p) the Bruno letter i sent to Ms. B!tch.. i've had no response or anything.. and i kinda expected one? what do you think? I don't wanna phone up, am allergic :(
I got a reply through the post yesterday. It's a complete pile of poo. The only thing they've agreed as that they took too long to respond to your initial complaint. They said that the HO and the support worker denied that HO had sworn and that they are both people of good standing therefore they believe them. Considering support worker wasn't present it should be obvious they are lying as she should have said she wasn't present for the majority of the time. And they said the complaint was shut down because from the test they deemed the noise to be acceptable and you hadn't complained since and totally ignored the fact that HO directly told me that would not happen when I specifically asked her. I am very :mad::mad::mad: and am going to write them a new letter. They did say that you are free to make new complaints which would be investigated (although by same HO).

I would suggest you keep a detailed diary of all noise including the following:
    • date
    • time
    • duration
    • intensity
    • description
    • any action you took (e.g. requesting them to turn it down)
    • their response
Also you should phone HO every time to report it because they have effectively said that unless you are constantly telling them about it it doesn't exist. (And they said, "Should Miss Cat still be experiencing noise nuisance, she must report the matter to Housing Services and the case will be reviewed appropriately." - emphasis mine) And keep a record of your phone calls and what she has said.

    They're a bunch of clowns.

I'll have to look out for them - I think Alice could get away with those without looking like she was wearing boy's clothes. She's absolutely Thomas mad.

Thanks Susan, at least they've acknowledged the letter as a start but their reply is infuriating  Good standing? My flipping backside!!

I've just walked past the goons again and the lad said ee i'm really sorry about last night we were having a party.

I said you have one everyday don't ya?! You don't seem to understand how much it bellows through the walls.........

He said nothing back and i was juggling shopping + car seat containing Amber + pushchair + a travel cot so i just carried on. Maybe this means they will !!!!!! tonight? Until next time.....

Maybe i didn't put enough emphasis on the fact i feel i can't ring up everytime because i get comments like "i have more important things to do with my time" and made to feel like a troublecausing liar :mad: Which is THE only reason i am reluctant to ring all the time. But at the same time i see their point and knew they'd say that anyway

Susan, what is the council's complaints procedure? Because I would DEFINITELY start up that avenue. As a public body, they have to properly consider all complaints independently (it's a separate person/department) and if you're not satisfied with the response, you can keep escalating all the way to the Local Government Ombudsman.

eta: they have 2 stages and then you can go to the Ombudsman. Not sure where you sent your first letter to, it may count as stage 1. If it did, then you can escalate.
