MFD - what about a squash ball?Mummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hi Michelle,
I think it's 'generally accepted wisdom' that young babies sleep better at night if they got more rest in the day (because they are more relaxed and not overtired). You may want to try things the other way round tomorrow and just let her sleep as much as she likes, but to be honest at 10 weeks old I don't think we had any hint of a 'routine' in Elijah's sleep pattern yet so maybe I am not the person to give advice.
Thanks Bruno, Ayana seemed to have put herself into a routine about a month ago. She goes to sleep at 8, wakes for a feed around 12-1 then wakes around 6 for another feed before having another sleep and getting up whenever she feels like... some days 10, others 8. Obviously its not perfect as she is still growing so there have been nights where she hasnt slept until 5am!
Anyway, better sleep tonight, back to the routine I think (we shall see though) as she was in bed by 8.Tigsteroonie wrote: »That was an interesting night! Andrew got one of these for his birthday (Fisherprice Waterfall soother):
It switches on & off with the toucan (bottom right). At 4am I heard it playing (over the monitor), I just presumed he had rolled over and pressed against the button in his sleep. It played for a while, stopped after a tune or two. A few minutes silence, and it started playing again. I got up and checked, thinking that I'd need to move him up the cot away from it ...... He was lying there, wide awake, huge smile on his face, watching it - he's obviously figured out himself that hitting the toucan makes it play! It all went quiet until about 6:30am when I heard it start up again!
So Andrew has figured out that pressing buttons on toys "does things". Remind me not to let him near my laptop
That is just sooooo cute and clever tigs!And a bonus as he can keep himself occupied for a bit if he wakes up! Will have to remember that one!

Returned the Trunki this morning, much to the embarrassment of the poor lady on the click and collect desk in Sainsburys who had never done a return before and got really upset and flustered that she was keeping me waiting.
I didn't dare ask if she could order me another, she might have cried
Benjamin woke me at 7.10am (:eek:) singing 'Twinkle Twinkle' - not the words but the tune was near perfect - hubby and I were amazed!!!
:rotfl::rotfl:
Sorry about your trunki but how lovely is the twinkle twinkle morning wake up call? I can just imagine him making his own words/sounds up to match the tune!
My grandad passed away today. Not really spoken to anybody about it- just glad I took her to meet him before he passed away. He loved her to bits too. She was the first great great grandchild.
