When im feeling very tired I will co-sleep with her (took me a week to try it but havent looked back since), that way Im not checking the clock too. I do hope you are not joking when you say it gets better at 6 weeks My Fathers Daughter!
I think she may also be having a growth spurt (or is a bit greedy) as she will have 2 boobs at a time! Sometimes I wish I had a 3rd one for those cluster feeds...Thanks PP. X

Somebody told me in the first few tiring weeks that baby begins to settle down at 6 weeks and then they run in 6 weekly cycles (so changing again at 12 weeks, 18 weeks, 24 etc etc) I have absolutely no idea when Benjamin changed and things improved but they did and every time I have struggled I have thought to myself 'in 6 weeks time this will all be history'
That thought keeps me from climbing the wallseven through the toddler tantrums and stubbornness I get at the moment!

Hey everyone,
Hope you all enjoyed your meet!
Im a little miffed, i unplugged my phone from the charger yesterday and the little slot in the phone where you plug it in has come out! Its now hanging out.
I went to a phone repair shop and they only fix NokiasSo i have to go to 3 to try and make them fix it. They told my sister they dont fix phones as they dont provide them, they only provide the minutes bundles
Lily is 17 weeks today! :j I can officially start weaning her with feeling guilty. My GP said to start when i took her when she was 16 weeks.
She has really started wanting our food, she stares so hard at it and gets stroppy if we eat it :rotfl:
She had some baby rice earlier and loved it! I gave her the spoon and she was putting it in her mouth
:rotfl::rotfl: She just shouted so much at DH he has picked her up and she just wants his xbox controller, she keeps trying to grab it0 -
Welcome back meeters
.
afternoon all
quick bit of advice needed re baby bathing....
still recovering from c section and finding it a bit tough, think my body is immune to painkillers...
Anyway question is whether anyone has any recommendations for bath supports to make bathing Landen a bit easier for me. Im quite small and he's now packing on the lbs and ounces so i struggle being able to support his weight with my one arm, and using the other to wash him. I know I still need to keep my hand there to support him even with a support but i kinda need something to help take the weight of my little faat bundle off my arm, plus im thinking it will mean i wont be bent over so much.....
im really struggling and feeling bad about it...
I was going to second what MFD said- at Landen's age they don't need bathing much at all. Once a week or so is fine, just use a damp flannel in between.
I also agree with Pigpen that it's easiet to sit them up so you're not supporting too much of their weight. Also we've always used a non-slip mat in the bottom of the baby bath as that seems to make them much more stable.Hi CAFC! Hope all is well.. this is probably the first time where ive actually had time to read up on the site and post something since little Ayana was born!
I have got the Mamas and Papas two stage ergo bath http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0982881/Trail/searchtext%3EMAMAS+BATH%5D.htm and it is brilliant. I use a little flannel to rest her head on but apart from that, it supports her whole body brilliantly. She can kick her legs about and splash around and I can wash her properly!HTH
Anyway, hello everyone, very new mum here, my daughter will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Still not in any routine at all so come to ask a question about Breast Feeding- will she ever wait longer than 2 hours for a feed at night?!I know all babies are different but I would like to know other people's experiences to save my sanity! I am lucky in that she can bottle feed on formula too when I feel like she has sucked the life out of me (tends to be in the run up to bed- around 11/10pm for her at the moment). So any tips or advice would be appreciated!
Oh, and another question... Ive noticed that she likes to sleep on her side and will even turn herself towards the 'wall' of her moses basket (I think this is because she feeds in this position), should I keep putting her on her back (like the docs say) or should I leave her?
Firstly congratulations and welcome.
Henry breast fed every two hours through the day until he was weaned, but he did go onger at night. From about 6 weeks or so he could go 3-4 hours at night, then from about 12 weeks 6-8 hours at night. Cluster feeding is totally normal in the evening, and Henry still does it sometimes (he's nearly 8 months now).
I have my first circuits class tonight, so I will be there in my sleep deprived state. I think it will be kill or cure! I'm currently waiting for a call from work with a salary offer for if I do decide to take a demotion so it's all fun and games here!:DYummy mummy, runner, baker and procrastinator0
