Tara - it sounds like she is a bit miffed about it being a surprise TBH. If she didn't enjoy it it was nothing to do with you, she sounds like she didn't want to enjoy it.please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120

TBH my camera is a pretty good one already - a 2 year old Canon Ixus but it is not always as sharp as I would like it to be. I think it may be my skills at fault than the camera
My old one was much older! I won some money at bingo so treated us to the camera I really wanted and the latest model whereas I was going to wait til I got working and buy an older model. This one even has GPS (as in sat nav's) and puts where the picture was taken as well !!!!!!!
and I like the colour....

Tara - you can't help it if MIL chose not to be in the photo's. That's her fault and not yours.
The bride should have to be the one going around making sure everyone is happy on her wedding day. She should be enjoying herself. Here I go again on my own....0 -

i agree, she obviously wanted to be in on the secret, so she sulked for the rest of the day, im sure on reflection, she will be feeling bad to, because what should have been a happy day for her, she ruined by sulking.
no need for you to feel bad, it was your day and if it was perfect for you then thats all that matters.theres always going to be a moaner or two, and from personal experience its generally the MIL
edit - just read your post that she knew - she was obviously just miserable then!!!0 -

Well she is just a miserable old bag then!
How dare she bring an attitude along to her sons wedding? How very rude!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Tara, it's a cliche but true - it's YOUR day. You don't have to spend your time ensuring that everyone's having a great day - they should be going out of their way to make sure that YOU have a fantastic day to remember. I'm sorry that your MIL obviously didn't make much of an effort, but she really should have.

ladybirdintheuk wrote: »Jenny - you will probably find that you can continue to do the daytime feeds when you aren't at work, then make other arrangements when at nursery (either expressing or formula). That's what we do and it is fine. Izzy wouldn't ever take a bottle, so she just has a cup of milk at nursery. They haven't asked me for more formula for ages, so I'm not sure they even still give her any milk any more (they might giver her cows milk instead... I should ask them really), but she always comes home from nursery happy and well fed, so I'm not fussed really.
It is amazing what they will do at nursery but not for you - even when they are babies peer pressure still works a treat
Thanks ladybird, don't want to just drop her in the deep end though - even if it does work! - so will try to get her weaned more.Another thought I've had (which may not be feasible) is that if you work near enough to the nursery, you might be able to pop over in your lunch break to give her a quick feed.
Will do.
45 minute journeyotherwise I would totally do that.

I suppose I did notice on the day, but I chose to ignore it as I didn't want it spoilt. Now I'm soo cross I wonder how I'll face her again?Too many children, too little time!!!0
