She was a beaut anyway!
And then I couldn't tag Glam and Jack because Glam is a FB luddite
I tagged it. I presumed it was SJ's Alfie. Hope I was right, as he was a tiny baby at the last meet.
Edit: Oops have removed tag. Looking at Boo's photos, it is indeed Isla. Sorry Boo & SJ.0 -

Oh well i've had a crap day, and my brain is dead. But i'm out with the girlies tonight, and there may be wine involved. Depending on whether I'm driving or not. If i go for not, it will be my first drink in a very, very long time. Wonder how my boss will like me tomorrow with a hangover + PMT. :eek:0 -

I think Searchie will have a couple of pics of us when she gets back.
Everyone commented on how big Alfie was today - makes such a difference to have the teeny Thomas and the tiny Tea next to him!!
Lovely to see everyone today and meet some new faces. Glad the cupcakes were enjoyed.
Next time I will tell DH he can just wait if he finishes earlyas I would have liked to have stayed a bit longer.
Michelle it does get better! I would try not to top up with formula if at all possible as this can decrease your own supply, starting a vicious cycle. It does seem as though all you do is feed those first few weeks but I would second that around 6 weeks it does seem to ease off. There are always lots of lovely people on this thread for support and advice when you need it too.0 -
Congratulations Michelle! XXXToo many children, too little time!!!0

afternoon all
quick bit of advice needed re baby bathing....
still recovering from c section and finding it a bit tough, think my body is immune to painkillers...
Anyway question is whether anyone has any recommendations for bath supports to make bathing Landen a bit easier for me. Im quite small and he's now packing on the lbs and ounces so i struggle being able to support his weight with my one arm, and using the other to wash him. I know I still need to keep my hand there to support him even with a support but i kinda need something to help take the weight of my little faat bundle off my arm, plus im thinking it will mean i wont be bent over so much.....
im really struggling and feeling bad about it...
We originally had T in a baby bath with a foam new born support. You can get them for a couple of quid from places like quality save. It was ok but a PITA to get dried and seemed to pick up hairs and other carp.
Then I bought a plastic bath support when he was about 3 weeks old. It was £15 in mothercare. We love it. It goes in the big bath and he is soooo much happier. we don't hold him, he just sits on it quite happy and kicks and splashes. It may be a bit difficult for you atm as you would need to bend over big bath.
I can dig out some piccies of him on both if you want?#
ETA had a really good time at the meet and it was lovely to meet everyone and see all the babies in RL. Can't wait for the next one
Michelle - stick with it, it definitely gets easier. I try and come online or read a book while feeding so it doesnt get too difficult. I think it started to improved for me at 4 weeks then by 7 weeks I was actually enjoying it lolMummy to Thomas born April 27th 2010 8lb 5oz0 -
Hi CAFC! Hope all is well.. this is probably the first time where ive actually had time to read up on the site and post something since little Ayana was born!
I have got the Mamas and Papas two stage ergo bath http://www.argos.co.uk/static/Product/partNumber/0982881/Trail/searchtext%3EMAMAS+BATH%5D.htm and it is brilliant. I use a little flannel to rest her head on but apart from that, it supports her whole body brilliantly. She can kick her legs about and splash around and I can wash her properly!HTH
Anyway, hello everyone, very new mum here, my daughter will be 4 weeks old tomorrow. Still not in any routine at all so come to ask a question about Breast Feeding- will she ever wait longer than 2 hours for a feed at night?!I know all babies are different but I would like to know other people's experiences to save my sanity! I am lucky in that she can bottle feed on formula too when I feel like she has sucked the life out of me (tends to be in the run up to bed- around 11/10pm for her at the moment). So any tips or advice would be appreciated!
Oh, and another question... Ive noticed that she likes to sleep on her side and will even turn herself towards the 'wall' of her moses basket (I think this is because she feeds in this position), should I keep putting her on her back (like the docs say) or should I leave her?
Welcome Michelle, I love the name Ayana
The cluster feeds did drive me mad but by three month it was definitely a lot easier. (just remember she was fine at three months because it was christmas). The nights will gradually improve! I think side sleeping is fine just avoid stomach sleeping for too long (although I was put on my front when a baby)

We had a tummy tub when Erin was little and it only required a hand under the chin to keep her from drowning. She did like it but we though she looked squished so after three months we moved her into the bath and it was only another month I think before we didn't have to hold her at all.Mum to DD born Oct 2009
