Susan - preference for a spinal or a GA in case of an emergency c-section, I'd also sound them out about their feelings on natural caesarean, in a just in case kind of way - if I ever manage number 2 it would be one of my first questions as I felt so detached from Katie for quite a while. If a caesaren is necessary ask about follow up pain relief morphine was wonderful but it meant I lost Katies first 24 hours, I would have preferred something else.

Susan your birth plan sounds great. I'm not sure what to write about emergencies as like you say what happens will very much depend on what is happening IYSWIM.

Susan, I have nothing constructive to add but I will say that I am highly impressed with how much thought and preparation has gone into this. I knew from the start that because of my complicated medical history I would have to have a planned caesarian so had no need for such planning. I am in awe of you!

Celebrity Masterchef is making me hungry .

Caz we also have a backpack carrier thing and Henry is a lump. I've never actually carried him in it but apparently it's not too bad.

Susan- I think that sounds like a good, sensible plan and don't see it as antagonistic. I guess what you put in the emergency part depends on how you feel. Do you need an emergency part or would it be better just to brief your doula on your feelings in different emergency situations?

Thanks for that. Any ideas where one would find information about post op pain relief options? I'd forgotten about natural caesareans although I guess they could only apply if I had to have a planned CS.
