TMI - Woke up this morning and think I have CystitisComes from drinking too muchalcohol and not enough water at the weekend and also overdoing the you know what! Have nothing in and cant leave the house as I think I will pee!
Tom needed his driving licence for work otherwise couldnt drive the company car anymore?!!? !!!!!! He has worked there for years and yesterday they decided it needed to be done today or no car. I cant flipping well find it can I? One more drawer to search and if its not there I havnt a clue where it is
Anything else for today? Might as well get it all over in a oner

Its not so much that L doesnt follow "the rules" etc. Its just things like we agreed when he has work the next day if L woke up pre midnight, DH would see to him, and after that it would be me so that DH could sleep.... which I dont have problem with at all.
But then that nights when he doesnt have work, he would do them so that i could catch up on some sleep, and if he needed help etc to wake me.
But I wake up everytime anyway, and have to wake him up to see to L and of course he takes about 15 minutes of stirring around before he finally gets up by which time L is screaming and I've got up to comfort him..... As i dont see the point of just letting L scream and cry when he's got a reason to, like he's hungry.... but DH cant seem to see that and just thinks let him cry he'll calm down in a minute.... which if hes screaming for food, he wont....
I also point out to him that I have L all through the day, as well as an attention seeking pug to entertain, so its not like he's the only person with "a job"....
And then of course when its his days off, he doesnt do stuff round the house to give me a day off from it all. He just does what he used to do with his days before L arrived, so he'll play xbox or sit in front of the tele with ruddy Dave on, or mooch on youtube all day.... dont get me wrong i spend a fair amount of time on the internet.... but me and L dont spend any time with him for 3 days of the week so when his days off come round, i want us all to spend some time together....
You could have just described me and OH to a T, I felt it got a bit better when LO went into his own room, I still do the night feeds when OH is at work
But when OH isnt at work the next day he ends up staying up till like 2am and feeds LO when he is on his way to bed and I feed him in the morning
BUT Unfortuanlty when it comes to during the day at weekends OH acts like he did before LO came, going out urb exing with his friends or sitting in the shed/garage painting his models, where I still have to deal with LO by myslef basically
I had a big problem trying to get the message across to OH that although he goes to work hainvg E all day is a job too!
If E still isnt sleeping through the night by the time I go back to work OH will get a shock cos he'll be sharing the night feeds thats for sure
Thanks for the tips gisi they are all good sugesstions, I had put off going to any groups cos E was a nightmare whenever we went out, but he's better now so I will def look into them.
I think it will be a lot better when I can drive, cos then me and E can go and do whatever we want, my friend had a baby 2 weeks after me and i would love to do stuff with her but the travel is a issue
MAZ thats what I ended up doing when E was still in our room cos by the time OH woke up and sorted E out I was wide awake and there was no point in trying to sleep
LOL EA Ah I get you now lol
Sorry to hear about OHs grandmasparkle

Kindof, how did you do the squash? I always found the simplest way was to cut them in half, scrape out the seeds, add a knob of butter and then bake for about an hour... The flesh just scrapes straight out of the shell already smooth
(it also tastes sweet that way)
Happy birthday Molly, Amelie and Becles(and Barack Obama apparently...)
Caitlyn's just been ridiculously sweet walking round with a toy hammer tucked under her chin... She then discovered she could blow it out of her mouth and when we all laughed did it again about 10 more times... I do love that girl

Hello you lovely lot, very long time no see!
I get little time to lurk these days let alone post. Leila is a little madam and doesnt sit still for 5 mins (although she managed 2 hrs at the cinema watching Toy story 3 last week!!). She's 13.5 months and a one girl walking/wobbling, talking, face-poking, climbing, food throwing, mess making, noise producing, giggling machine!! She has this week learnt to name all the parts of her body. I now get woken up each morning with her poking a different part of my body and telling me what it is (mummy nose, mummy eyes, mummy eeeee-ars').She talks in whole sentences, like 'I did it', 'more milk', 'sing again mummy' etc. I'm so very very proud of her (can you tell)!! I obviously dont get much time to boast these days either!!
On the personal front, I am due to be made redundant some time soon so i'm already looking for another job. Hopefully i'll be able to take voluntarily redundancy and get a nice 'golden goodbye'.
I cant believe how much all the babies on here have grown up, SS I was looking at your photos of Molly on facebook and its funny how I can see other people's babies and their transition to a proper little person but with Leila I only realised yesterday how big she is when I saw a friends baby who was the same birth weight as Leila!!!
I've taken today off just to have some 'me' time. I dont feel so guilty anymore that Leila is at the childminders and i'm lounging round the house!! I'll cook her up a buttenut squash risotto tonight courtesy of Weezl's website just to ease any guilty feelings that might try to creep in!!!
There's too much i've missed to be able to offer all the necessary congratulations, hugs, hoorays, ooohs and aahhhs but I still think of you all as I try to go about this parenting lark without making too much of a hash of it!
Hugs and kisses xxxxxxProud Mummy to Leila aged 1 whole year:j0
