Just thought I'd say although the antilop doesn't fold the legs come off really easily so you could realistically remove them and shove it in a cupboard everyday no problem :) Its so easy I have often been really tempted to take it with me when I'm going to a foody place I know has those crap wooden[STRIKE] implements of tourture[/STRIKE] uncomfortable highchairs :p

The wooden ones don't bother me so much - it is the stupid plastic highchairs that use the tray to hold it together and fall apart the minute you move them that pee me off.

And you really should try to sleep at night lady :p

Oh, did I mention before? E has got very keen on the potty... not in a fully practical sense I hasten to add, but he fully approves of sitting on it, whenever he has a nappy change now he demands to go sit on it before his new nappy comes on, and he has in fact peed in it (just as a consequence of sitting on it nekkid for 5 minutes I think)!

He is sitting on it now in front of the TV...

We sort of thought that acclimating him to it in a low-key no pressure manner from early on might be an ok approach, and by the time baby02 comes we'd be clear on whether he was ready yet and either get it out the way before or wait til well after, rather than wanting to try it out at the same time as we have a newborn.
Dunno if this approach will work but he is enthusiastic so far! But very early days.

This is what we are doing also, he knows what it is, what it is for and sits on it most days. I have no interest in training him until he is ready but whilst he is sat watching TV or reading a book he might as well be 'learning' by osmosis :D

I had something else to say....I forgot :o

Also, apropos of the discussion last night, Fox News is reporting that Gisele Bundchen breastfed for three weeks and then stopped. So I think we can safely ignore her, yes?
Wow. What a hypocrite she is.

I'm fairly sure when I mentioned it a couple of months after Alice had stopped Tia said she had a friend with a child similar age to Alice who had stopped at six months and she still had milk.

I imagine pregnancy would make it go away. (Albeit temporarily.)

why is it when you have a baby you become completely selfless yet your OH/DH appears to become more selfish........?!

I ask solely because my DH is still in bed,who only had to get up once during the night and thats because I poked him awake to get up and feed L, even though it was actually me who got out of bed to change him, and comfort him till DH came back with bottle....

Hes really doing my head in and i feel really stressed lately and I've told him all this and what i need him to do, and he agrees and says what he'll do etc and we have a plan and then he just doesnt stick to it, and now of course I've got tonight to potentially have a whole nights kip to myself without getting up because day after he's back to work which means he'll be sleeping ready for his 12 hour shift at work....

    sorry rant over

EA - once you've learnt to drive we could meet up somewhere in the middle then we'd only be looking at 30/45 min drive each. Altho if its a lovely day I dont mind driving to you :D

Hammy - Thanks the girls at work keep going on about baby jogger city mini, they say its a lovely pushchair (it came in after I went on mat leave so I dont know it). But I really do want tyres and have kinda got my heart set on a mura now so T can face me sometimes. After a quick look on ebay there are non 2nd hand going near me either.

Right am pretty much ready to go out to MILs but T is fast asleep and still in PJs, suppose thats what happens when you get up at 6! Im loathed to wake her up.

Susan - (i think it was who asked me) the seminar we attended was held at a chiropractic wellness centre that I worked at, and DH and I were both members of. I can safely say I owe that place my sanity and my health.we held health talks every week, but we did every so often have a big seminar type one for big informational talks.... if you'd like a link to their website and the Dr's email address (who would be happy to chat to anyone) just send me a pm x

ETA - DH finally out of bed.... still pished with him though

Sugar - I'm trying to place an order with verbaudet using the £10 off £20 spend code from quidco but it doesn't appear to take any money off. Is this the way it normally works??

I've always found OH isn't very good at remembering what we've agreed. I think he especially finds it difficult because what we do changes gradually over time rather than being fixed. He also took a long time to get that when I said, "If you leave Alice to cry for ages when she wakes up crying in the middle of the night she's much less likely to settle back okay" I didn't mean, "If you jump up and deal with her straight away it guarantees that she'll settle back fine." so he used to be annoyed with me if he dealt with her and then she didn't settle straight away. We used to quite regularly have arguments because he thought he could have set response to things which Alice would respond to in a certain way everytime and he didn't adjust what he was doing according to the feedback she was giving but he is much better now.
