Susan - That's fab
Becles - Well done James :j
Mel - huge hugs hun, please tell DH how you feel, remember some men don't tend to think something is wrong unless we tell them (Bruno and MOTM excepted of course!)
Sami and 3 - you both have my number and I'm going tomorrow (I hope!)
It's the car park on Sheepfoot Lane, looks easy enough for me, just follow the M62 then when it merges you come off at Junction 17 and it's not far from there. I posted the info possibly on the old thread.
Back to the docs tonight - I am fuming as he told me that young babies don't get lung problems and fobbed him off with an antihistamine. The poor boy was coughing and heaving all night and after his 6am bottle coughed so hard he brought his whole bottle up all over my bedHave spoken to a Nurse Clinician in work who thinks I need a second opinion as they can get lung/chest problems and it sounds worse than just a snot related problem.
He's at creche but I rang earlier and he was moaning loads and only had a 10min nap after being semi awake since 4am.
We will be coming tomorrow but I might not stay too long depends how he is.A very busy Yummy Mummy to a 1 year old gorgeous boy :smileyhea

 How have you lived for six years without the library?
I sent OH to register Alice at the library when she was about a month old.
I lived here for 8 years without joining the library, (enough money to buy books before i guess) I'm in there at least twice a week now!
I've had a tinker, feel free to ignore
Dear Sir
Re: Housing Officer visit to 27Cat Crescent on Wednesday 30th June 2010.
On the afternoon of Wednesday 30th June 2010 I was present at the above address when Mrs Housing Officer visited to carry out a sound test. There are a number of issues associated with the visit most of which I will detail in a letter to accompany Miss Cat's complaint, however, I also have a complaint to make in my own right.
In the course of the test, it was necessary for Mrs Housing Officer to leave and enter the flat a number of times while we listened for noise from the neighbouring properties. On one such occasion she forgot to shut the door which meant that the noise of a dog barking outside drowned out any sound we would hear from next door, Mrs Housing Officer then asked Miss Cat if she could hear anything to which Miss Cat responded that she couldn't because of the noise from the dog. Mrs Housing Officer got up (I think to close the door) but as she did so she said something which included "shut that f***ing dog up" followed by a comment about shooting the dog.
These comments were made in front of myself, Miss Cat and our children and were loud enough that we all heard them clearly.
It is totally inappropriate for someone working with members of the public to swear in the course of their occupation particularly when they are in someone else's home and there are children (my three year old daughter and Miss Cat's baby) present. In my opinion someone who gets angry enough to swear in front of children in the course of her job over something so minor should not be in such a position.
I expect to receive a written apology from Mrs Housing Officer and suggest that it would be appropriate for Miss Cat to receive the same courtesy. I would also request that from now on someone other than Mrs Housing Officer should deal with Miss Cat's ongoing noise complaint.
Yours faithfully,
Mrs Susan C
Becles, Well done James, I remember how worried you were at the time, what a relief!

Becles - I'm totally beaming with pride just at reading your post I bet you're positively floating about today (OMG I am so overly emotional, I shed a tear! I am a mess!)

Susan - I think the bit about requesting a different housing officer is (sorry) outside the purpose of this letter. It doesn't sit very well with me (the sentiment does of course, just not why you would request it in a letter of complaint)
If your letter was to complain about the attitude of the HO towards Beenie then it may be appropriate to suggest that she is not the correct person to continue with the complaint but it doesn't sit quite right here IMHO.
Well done you for standing up for yourself, Beenie and the children :T:Tplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

I had some similar thoughts however if Susan is to continue as Beenie's support/independent witness then does she have a right to request not to have to deal with that particular housing officer?
EDIT it was me that used request in my version, Susan was suggesting. i put request cos when I was dealing with complaints I used to pretty much ignore 'suggestions' unless they suited me.MFW Start Sep 07 £79484, Now £587740
