Sounds lovely aless. I had some pork, and I am about to forage for some tea and toast.
You have tea and toast growing wild in Germany?

Tara I hope you're ok and you come back. You're a much loved poster and come up with good advice for those of us less experienced at Mumhood! :D

And i'm not aware of any nasty pm's being sent/received and if it's true i'd be disgusted!

My Mum posted some really old pictures on facebook last night and there's a picture of me holding a tiny baby... I have a scary feeling that it's Aimee's half brother

That bit ^ has really confused me!

3 - i think your pram is darker red than mine, this seems to be more of an orangey red but is lovely!!! i was jumping up and down when i realised what they had sent me as i did expect them to be different colours. The older style has the multicoloured circles inside whereas the new style is cream. cant wait for pics :D

does L know my user name yet :D:D:D
Advice needed again! Erin has stopped eating, there is no real reason why and she will eat sweet things if allowed and is drinking plenty. she is definatly not going waste away anytime soon so im not making a big deal out of it just not sure what to do?

Forgot to take pics in the park! I'll do it tomorrow. So, to get the right red footmuff, should I be looking for the one with spotty inside or cream inside?

L knows your user name - I forgot to say. She was reading over my shoulder and spotted your Avvy and recognised her.

I'm no help with eating. V has days when she's a pita and hardly eats - but I don't think she'll starve to death anytime soon.

She's being a pita with napping lately. I'd say, roughly, one day in three she won't nap at all during the day, for example, today. But since around 4.30pm she's been a grumpy little moo and now looks like she's going to fall asleep in the highchair.
I don't want to put her up to bed too early though, as I guess she'll get up even earlier.

Right - can someone tell me I am mad - I am considering inviting MIL to come away with us because she has been a bit down lately but I know I will want to get away from her if she does come...I need a slap!!

You're mad and need a slap!

Much as I love my MIL, I don't think i'd manage more than a few hours with her. :o

    Bastarge camp update:
I emailed my complaint to the camp organiser (as Camp owning company boss told me too) this morning. Trading standards also advised to complain to her as she's the one who broke the contract by asking us to leave.
This afternoon i've got an email from her solicitor saying:
Please note that this firm acts for G***** N****** and I have been consulted by her in connection with your recent e-mail.

Please direct all further communications to this firm and we will reply accordingly. I am presently in discussion with my client regarding the comments made by you and I will respond more fully in due course

I feel bad now for not saying anything re meet....

tbh I thought when the meets were arranged in a location they were kinda designed for people in those areas to meet up...and i know they are open invites, but I didnt feel comfortable since im a relative newbie and dont really feel like i "know" anyone or like i belong.......but then meets are a good way to get to know people........... so catch 22 in my twisted mind there....

plus i dont feel comfortable taking Landen out to the shop on my own let alone on a train to B'Ham....

New mummy question though - how long a time do you give baby tummy time for? I dont want to over tire him so he gets crabby....

Our dog is really doing my head in today..... to the point where im like i dont know if i can do it with both of them. He's being really attention seeking, i know its a massive adjustment for him and when L is sleeping I do try to spend time just with the dog, playing, stroking etc but then im also trying to get some rest in for myself as well as Im now having issues with DH..... and its all getting a bit ARGH!

That's positive, 3, since it gives you a definite point of contact. But at this point I'd suggest availing of a free 30 minutes with a solicitor and perhaps also Watchdog - the solicitor coupled with the "cancel the paypal dispute, it's in both our interests and BTW I hear there's a problem with some property damage..." makes me a bit concerned.

When you reply to the solicitor ask for a mailing address and mention as if by accident "as can be confirmed by two independent witnesses" in case she's told him a pack of lies :)

I didn't really because Alice didn't like it. I think you just have to go with what you and your baby are happy with. If he doesn't like it, he'll soon let you know.

OOh, SS, i forgot, i heard from paypal today too. :(
    They've closed the dispute because;

Unfortunately, we were unable to resolve this claim in your favour because the item purchased was virtual or intangible. As a result, we have not taken any action against the seller at this time but we have noted your dissatisfaction in the seller's record for future reference.

If you still have concerns about this transaction, we encourage you to continue to work directly with the seller for an amicable resolution

CAFC - just until he starts whinging, so not very long. Haven't attempted any these last couple of days with the mood he's been in. HV told me to start trying at 6 weeks and just do it for a couple of mins each time.

She's lovely - she's always really welocming to everyone.

Whenever you say that I always wonder if I'm on your list (or anyone else's).

Me too! I find it quite unsettling when people say that to be honest! I do not have a list, just sometimes agree with some people on some things, and sometimes agree with other people on others. I mostly :heartpuls everybody on here! In fact, shock horror, my RL friends and I don't have the same views or thoughts on everything either, so I certainly don't expect people on here to!

Oh let's not start another one of 'these' debates again - it always ends with someone flouncing off, and I hate losing PT members :o.

What's everyone having for dinner? I've done curry baked chicken thighs which I'm going to do over buttery rice with peas :).

Has anyone been watching the Amish teenagers thing on C4 (last night)? Not really surprisingly, since I knew a fair amount about the Amish, but still interesting to see them in Britain.

I am having a chippy tea, on the seafront :j:j. So excited!

I watched that documentary last night and found it really interesting. I think it was a series but I only watched last night's.

I don't think the thread is cliquey, and I do think that folks generally are very welcoming of newbies. I do think that some of us (me included) have a few fellow posters whose children were born at a similar time and so I do probably answer their questions and posts more readily since I am going through similar things at the moment too!

That said I am always happy to offer my hypothetical advice to others, on any subject, be it babies, feeding, dresses, shoes, cupcakes :rotfl:. I love the diversity of chat on here, and it makes me sad when things get out of hand and people leave :(.

I'll miss your mummy (and nanny) advice Tara!

3- I agree with SS that the solicitor thing is probably positive, but the paypal thing is a PITA.

I am a very laid back person, most of the time, and I'm not sure whether things like that come across in writing as they do in RL!

I knew the bloke that knocked me up the first time when I was 13... He had a son and his wife left them both when the baby was 7 months old... I was maybe 14 by then... Anyway... There's a picture of me holding a baby and I think it might have been his son... (the wife can back and took him back about 9 months later...)

Oooh@bastage camp! What's your next move?

I would let him just have small bursts of it, if he gets agitated then leave it at that... Also, remember having him laying against your chest is also tummy time... :)

I'm probably not the best person to ask about dogs... I had 2 when Aimee was born but the older one had an inoperable tumour and was very old... My Mum paid for him to be kennelled in the end because I couldn't cope, and then the little one got so sad and lonely I ended up re-homing him with a family with slightly older children... I was sad to see them both go, but also very relieved...
A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls... I do pity my husband though, he's the one to suffer the hormones...
Krystal is so smart and funny and wonderful I am struck dumb in awe in her presence.
