No we don't all answer every post and we don't always bother to catch up but I don't believe people are deliberately ignored. I think those that find it cliquey are maybe those that don't make an effort to chat...
I would not agree that people who find it cliquey are those who dont make an effort to chat ..... When you post something and get no response or welcome then that will put you off posting again . I think it reasonable to think you have been ignored in them circumstances. I only saw what recently went up about the birmingham meet and was commenting on that post alone ....as i was not on the parenting thread last year i have no idea what was being arranged then .... i have looked back through this thread and some posters do think that what they say on this thread is sometimes not answered too or they think their input is ignored. That is my opinion on this and this will be the last comment i make about it .:heartpuls Baby Due 11th August 2012 :heartpuls0 -
You said that none of the others were planned though so presumably they were further on when you first saw the GP? Although I'm sure I was able to make my "booking" appointment straight after having seen the GP and I was around 5/6 weeks. I don't think she was very booked up though because I couldn't make it due to being ill and was able to just put it back to the next week.
I think the earliest we saw a GP was about 6 weeks with one of the girls as their mother had an inkling she was pregnant, so yes, this is the earliest, just.Whenever you say that I always wonder if I'm on your list (or anyone else's).
I don't mean I have a list, I certainly don't have one :rotfl:I'll get on with anyone that is willing to get on with me. I've not had any nasty messages from anyone eitherMOTM - I had to ring and book my own MW appointment at 8 weeks. My best friend lives 30 miles away under a different council and they had the system where the midwife rings them. She saw the midwife at 11 weeks, and only received her 12 week scan date the week before. I got mine before my booking in appointment!
It sounds like everywhere is different. I'm sure it will be fine. Lucy is a worrier.0 -
What's everyone having for dinner? I've done curry baked chicken thighs which I'm going to do over buttery rice with peas
.
We've had a barbecue. All my girls invited at least one friend and two mummies came along as well. Three of daughter's friends are now staying the night, so I have to behave now!
Bastarge camp update:
I emailed my complaint to the camp organiser (as Camp owning company boss told me too) this morning. Trading standards also advised to complain to her as she's the one who broke the contract by asking us to leave.
This afternoon i've got an email from her solicitor saying:
Please note that this firm acts for G***** N****** and I have been consulted by her in connection with your recent e-mail.
Please direct all further communications to this firm and we will reply accordingly. I am presently in discussion with my client regarding the comments made by you and I will respond more fully in due course
Hmmmm, Is this official? Anyone can setup an e-mail address. You'll need something in writing in the post.OOh, SS, i forgot, i heard from paypal today too.

Stupid paypal. Their 'notes' will make no difference. Let's hope MP's letter makes some difference.0 -

Oooh@bastage camp! What's your next move?
I have just read that as you knew the bloke that knocked you up when you were 13! Please tell me I read that wrong!
Bastage camp, I think i'm sitting waiting for her response via her solicitor.
I might have a search around tomorrow to book a free half hour for advice.:beer:0 -

I agree with alot of what you are saying, but it gets easier over time. The initial posts are difficult, for want of a better word, but I like it when newbies come in Fresh Meat new posters are always welcome.
More people, more advice, more cyber acquaintanceships and as the meets prove, a little more than just online friendships.
Keep posting, I get good advice from here, which is going to be needed for a while yet so I can pass on to my better half.0 -

I think you should definitely get something in proper writing from the "solicitor" too...A very proud Mummy to 3 beautiful girls...
