Molly is eating a chopped up version of what we're having :j She normally gets her own roughly mashed food and the odd chunk of what we're having but this is a one pot three people meal and so far it is being greeted with loud and appreciative NOMNOMNOM noises.

Is it a grocery code? I did an epic shop earlier but I forgot a couple of things... Can you add a code if you have to check out again? I'm willing to try...

And I have just done the girls a chicken breast, just wrapped it in foil and cooked it... It's so moist and lovely... Can't believe I've never done it like that before... The only sounds you can hear are Caitlyn gagging cos she's shoved too much in lol...

He absolutley adores her, she's his first grandchild. Alot of what i do with Lily is what i learnt from him when he was raising my brothers.

Sounds a nice idea and hopefully your dad is only speaking from a worse case scenario point of view and whatever it is turns out to be okay.

:eek: Just picked J up from creche and got a letter saying they were increasing fees by £10 a day from 1st Sept and then by another £10 a day from April 11! :eek:

They are blaming the PCT and saying they won't subsidise the fees anymore but they will be getting a strongly worded letter as an increase from £30 to £50 for a sh1tty building that smells when its wet and other reasons I'm yet to think of is ridiculous.

So, a public sector pay freeze, my job on the line and now this

£1000 a month childcare will be OH's wages when he goes down to 4 days a week!

Need to play around with some figures

Kian's nursery is £35 per day or £125 for the full week. how can they justify charging sooo much? is there other nurseries you can use? that might be cheaper. lots use the voucher system as well.


wont be on much in next week as all my family are over from Ireland for the christening. although at the moment Kian, mum and sis are all asleep :rotfl:


got my haircut today!! its fab!! its a bit like Dannii Minogues that she had on x-factor last year.

got all the 'non-food' things for the buffet, just the food to get tomorrow.

I'm looking at local ones that are £35, I plan to put an average local nursery cost in my letter so that they can see how ridiculous they are.
my friend is going to be CM for £30 a day so he might go to her for 3 days and then somewhere else for 2 days.
Because I get the tax efficient scheme through work I need to work out how much it will cost, I wonder if they want to close it down which is why they are doing it to make people go elsewhere.

Will use the vouchers otherwise

All is now calm in the MOTM household. Little discussion had and the younger 5 are going to call Lucy, mum. The older 2 both decided Lucy is how they want to keep it, but are happy for her to be mum and will go about their business as if she is their mum. Not much difference as Lucy has taken on that role anyway. In public Lucy will also be considered to be mum, therefore if anyone asks, Lucy will say they are her children - after all, like people have said, it's no-one elses business anyway is it?

Little else will change, as I say, Lucy has taken the mother role anyway and she's mature beyond her 29 years and a fantastic role model for them, which they've missed female wise. She also looks fantastic for a girl with seven children :rotfl:

Most importantly everyone is happy, although when the first person called her mum, Lucy looked scared but she'll get used to it and is enjoying it, I can tell

Anyway, enough of that.....hopefully everybody else is well and has a good evening. Any plans......?
