MFD Thank you for the shuffling of my letter, I love it.
I'll catch up later and respond properly, i'm going to try and relax somewhere.
We've received J's decision on his DLA renewal, and it's been reduced to lower rate. I'm raging again - but have started the appeal process.
Will someone remind me next year to cancel July - it's being a really sh!tty month.:beer:0 -
MOTM - silly question but does the GP know what you are going for? My GP doesn't want to see pregnant women, if you go in and say you are pregnant he apparently says 'well done - now what do you want me to do about it?'
We just see the Midwife at 8 weeks.
Unless of course there are underlying health issues which means the doc would need to see Lucy (medication, BP etc.)?please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -
Susan - apologies, all lettered out for the moment (I do need to do some work at some point!) but will have a look later if you are lacking responses. x
3 - you are very welcome. I left X's for names and highlighted a bit you need to look at. I hope it helps. xplease listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

No, the GP has no idea why we are going. Literally it's phoning up, ask for appointment and they don't ask for any more info.
Lucy has no health issues. I seem to recall last time, through my dodgy memory, the GP put us onto the midwife, or at least made contact with her to contact us. I may be wrong though.0 -
I had to go through GP to be booked in with midwife. All a formality, as all she did was say congrats and then fill out a form with me sitting right there. Suppose it depends on your PCT...oh, if you have a few hospitals in your area, you may get asked which one you prefer (which will determine your MW team).
Okay, baby clothes put away finally. Got several baby clothes presents from relatives, except some obviously don't think things through...it's okay getting larger sizes and all but giving me 12m clothing for him to grow into isn't helpful when it's short sleeves and t-shirts and he was born in December.top 2013 wins: iPad, £50 dental care, £50 sportswear, £50 Nectar GC, £300 B&Q GC; jewellery, Bumbo, 12xPringles, 2xDiesel EDT, £25 Morrisons, £50 Loch Fyne
would like to win a holiday, please!!

It might be worth a quick call to the surgery and a chat with the receptionist to see what the protocol is in your area. Might save some disappointment if yours is a doc like mine who won't do anything other than send you back into reception to book and appointment with the midwife.
Did anyone have to see their GP other than if they had medical issues?
*remembers vaguely Krystal had to...*
Edit - I see Aless did too...although it looks like it was a waste of both yours and her time LOL!please listen to MFD - she is a wise womanProud Mummy to the gorgeous Benjamin John born 14 March 2009, 8lbs 14ozA new little seedling on the way, due 30 September 20120 -

Thanks you two.
I'll phone, or get Lucy too as it's her appointment with her GP.
We have a strange system. You don't have a GP, just a GP sugery where you see whichever GP has a fee appointment space.
ETA - The GP's in Lucy's surgery, where she works are all happy to see women to discuss pregnancy, especially it's their first, Lucy reliably informs me.
She doesn't go there though as she works there, so clash of interests apparently.0 -
you're welcome
I can't remember if you've said or if I asked earlier (I did intend to) when you've given lumpier stuff has it been homemade and or things he's eaten fine previously? I'm just wondering if maybe there is an allergy thing going on?
Great advice! David seems to have an inbuilt radar to food that he is allergic to - it has taken me quite a while to realise (doh!) that he will more often than not refuses to eat something which later proves to be allergenic to him
Sorry, but it made me laugh about your boobies - mine are exactly the same :rotfl: :eek:Sarah_Joanne wrote: »Hmm so just been to get Alfie weighed, he's dropped another centile so is on 2nd now after being above 25th for the first couple of months. HV was saying there was an issue with this so can I introduce another feed. If I feed him when he's not hungry he's just sick so not sure if I can do that really. I did mention that thsi was a FF chart so she got a BF chart and he'd still dropped to 2nd centile on that.
David started off on the 25th and is now on the 2nd... he frequently sees the health visitor, the gp and a consultant because of his allergies and eczema but absolutely no-one has ever said there is a problem with his weight!!!!!! You need to listen to the general advice on this board - smile and ignore :rotfl:Alfie sounds just grand to me and I wouldn't be worried in the slightest if I was you
PS. If you can make cakes for the meet can you let me know as I feel like placing a special order for some with you... PM me if you think that is OK(PS... just in case you are not sure... I do intend to pay for them

:j My haemoglobin level has increased from 10.8 to 11.9 (normal range 12-16) and my ferritin from 3.2 to 13 (normal range 13-300) in the last seven weeks.
